Job Overview

Responsible for procuring cost-effective non-production materials and services in compliance to the Company's Integrity, Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy, Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality requirements and to perform delegated SHERQ tasks and duties & manage risk mitigation measures and non-compliance topics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Business Unit enhancement : Participate in the formulation of global commodity management strategies, for non-production materials and services and responsible for local defined National Buy Strategies. Ensure all strategies are aligned to global requirements. Manage the budgets of the department. Shared Service.
  • Purchasing Performance :Responsible for the procurement of cost-effective non-production materials and services; responsible for cost optimisation and transparency throughout the supply chain. Participate in the execution of the department operational targets in alignment with local and global requirements.
  • Supplier Management :Interacts with global and local vendor community and the Purchasing Services network in order to develop long term relationships and thus achieve long term targets as set in the goal agreements. Conduct vendor price negotiations in accordance with Procurement Services targets. Attend to escalation matters with suppliers where required.
  • Quality Assurance :Interact and support cross-functional processes for materials and services and support group operations through ensuring an uninterrupted flow of non-production materials and services.
  • Integrity, Compliance, Knowledge & Innovation : Initiate and facilitate supplier development by employing new technologies and processes as per the supplier minimum requirements; suggest changes in accordance with BBBEE codes of practice as defined by the DTI.Commit to a culture of integrity with particular consideration to compliance.Promote and support integrity including rewarding and disclosing compliance achievement or misconduct in an appropriate manner.Implementation and promotion of efficient and effective internal compliance controls, including regular assessments and risk mitigating measures to avoid non-compliance.Complete and arrange training requirements on time when required. Prepare and run all audit requirements.
  • People management : To set clear KPI's and conduct staff performance appraisals and ensure KPI's are met.Take appropriate action based on required output.Identify training needs, initiate suitable training in conjunction with DTSA standards.Conduct regular staff meetings with team to improve motivation and communication.Effectively manage daily activities according to KPI's. Support with escalation topics
Qualifications
  • MatricplusNationalDiplomaorDegreeinProcurement/Purchasingorrelevantequivalent.
  • Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounting, Business Operations, Economics, Statistics, Project Management certificates (added advantage).
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, think cell).
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a specialised field (Purchasing/Supply Chain /Project Management/ Logistics/ Marketing/ IT).
Special Knowledge
  • Ability to negotiate on all levels.

Purpose:

To provide critical support for the Supply Chain & Operations functions by analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on key data and processes.

The Supply Chain Analyst is also responsible for gathering data, analyzing trends and reporting the performance for various activities in the SCM department.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Reports: 1 – 2 team members
  • Maintain and manage vendor accounts
  • Oversee internal invoice verification systems (KITE)
  • Responsible for supporting YFI regional plants in this function
  • Responsible for booking, processing and analyzing freight documentation
  • Prepare and distribute weekly overviews on standard and premium freight values
  • Provide analysis on cost drivers, identify areas where CI can be implemented to reduce / eliminate costs associated within the Supply Chain
  • Maintain import register in compliance with local customs regulations
  • Facilitate export shipments and documentation where required

Requirements
  • Minimum tertiary qualification / technical diploma and/or specific training in Supply Chain Management. Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • BCOM + Qualified CA (SA) or CIMA (non-negotiable)
  • Experience working in a cross functional manufacturing business
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, including commercial costing, operational financial support and reporting
  • SAP & Syspro experience critical along with exposure to a FMCG and/or manufacturing environment
  • Power BI & other MS Power tools
Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Contribution and Execution
  • Consolidation and Analysis of in year budgets and 5-year Business Capex plans.
  • Operationalising group strategic initiatives and driving implementation.
  • Providing Commercial input in Strategy formulation and Continuous improvement initiatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting - Capex
  • Co-ordination and consolidation of Capex Plans across the 5-year, Annual Plans and quarterly forecasting processes and associated cash flow forecasts.

  • Various Ad Hoc reports across Stock, Returns, Pallets and other key supply chain metrics
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and linkage into Business unit continuous improvement pipeline.
  • Streamlining and automating reporting where applicable, working closely with BI teams
  • Consolidation and analysis of continuous improvement pipeline projects.
  • Providing visibility and analysis across Working Capital initiatives, in conjunction with CSE supply chain teams
Ad Hoc BU Support

Staff Management
  • Lead and develop staff across supply chain analysts.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Manage staff activities, ensuring service levels are met and protocols are adhered to.
  • Coach and support staff where necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Champion staff training and development through the utilisation of available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions in collaboration with national training specialists.
