The Key Purpose of this role is to drive the centralized T1 safety portfolio, as well as to analyze and proactively manage the T1 operation by monitoring the availability and performance of carriers, analyzing this information and troubleshooting to ensure that the load plan is executed optimally. This role needs to manage and own the relationship between the T1 Control Room, T1 Operations, Breweries, DCs, AD’s and Carriers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively analyze and troubleshoot and manage the following to ensure the FG & empties load plan is executed optimally; using but not limited to VSC, TMS and Power BI reports:
  • Brewery and DC throughput
  • Carrier no shows, travel time, communication, etc.
  • Safety alerts and/or incidents by severity type
  • Tracking and escalating cycle time (ATCT) at Breweries, DC’s and ADs
  • Empties availability to prevent DCBL (Down Time Cause by Logistics)
  • Ensuring adherence of the TMS plan
  • Responsible for delivering on key KPI’s for example but not limited to WPS, LPA, LSA, DLPA, VLC, other
  • Actively minimizing empty legs and OOL (out of lane) triangulations but ensure effective and optimal vehicle utilization.
  • Understand production adherence and amendments and the impact on the load plan
  • Amending load plans via escalation to Supervisor/IDP where required to prevent dropped loads or trucks from standing based on production and stock availability, or via Spotlight interface stock swop outs when enabled.
  • Understanding and reporting on route causes for dropped loads
  • Proactively managing stakeholder expectations with real time information tracking
  • Close collaboration with IDP and Ret-Pack
  • Execution of loads via formal assigned allocation process and/or Spotlight Track and Trace system and provide feedback on enhancements to T1 Supervisor/development team.
  • Responsible to amend out of stock items on load plan in accordance with Spotlight stock swop out recommendations.
  • Conduct reviews of RCA’s and present continuous improvement initiatives to be implemented.
  • Responsible with T1 Supervisor for providing feedback on closing out all national tracking queries regarding open “in transit” cycles and other investigations.
  • Drive and maintain the centralized T1 carrier safety module to ensure adherence to safety requirements as per FORTRESS/VPO requirements.
  • Accountable with support of the T1 carrier back office to capture and communicate all safety incidents in accordance with guidelines on CR360 and communication deadlines.
  • Setup up 24hr/48hr/7day/30day incident calls and compile action logs with follow ups on action closures.
  • Ensure T1 Safety program FORTRESS monthly submissions are submitted and conduct the determined sample validations and calibrate if needed.
  • Ensure the daily telemetry outputs for the BUSA dashboard is received and populated and action log to be drafted and addresses with carriers if applicable.
  • Lead the agenda in meetings and safety incident reviews with carriers.

What you’ll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career as a Principal Civil Engineer within our industry-leading team, known for its excellent reputation and expertise across all civil engineering sectors.

  • Discipline lead for the production of 3D models using Civil 3D or Site 3D software
  • Production of drawings from 3D models
  • Coordinate the production of detailed drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards
  • Review project and drawing/model outputs to ensure technical requirements are met
  • Review design calculations and basis of design assumptions
  • Serve as a technical and design reference for the team
  • Prepare technical specifications and reports
  • Oversee the quality of technical and design outputs of junior colleagues

Who we’re looking for:

Ideally Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant professional body or hold a relevant Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Level 6 qualification. Also, you should:

  • Be proficient in Civil 3D or Site 3D modeling and extracting sections and quantities
  • Have experience in Residential and/or Highways sectors, familiar with industry design guides and approval processes
  • Be skilled in relevant design software
  • Demonstrate knowledge of legislation and standards
  • Have experience in modeling highways, drainage, and earthworks
  • Show commercial awareness and project management skills
  • Manage design processes and junior team members

About The Role

The Cyber Security Engineer role focuses on implementing, configuring, and operating the organization’s identity governance and administration platform. The role sits within the identity and access management function, supporting the bank’s identity governance and administration needs.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years in Cyber Security Engineering
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in IAG implementation and operations, preferably using SailPoint IdentityNow.

  • Administers service contracts to support property needs.
  • Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures equipment and alarms.

  • Develops an engineering operating strategy that is aligned with the property / brands business strategy.
  • Develops and manages Engineering budget.
  • Ensures integration of departmental goals in game plans.
  • Oversees execution of long term preventative maintenance and 10 year asset protection plans.
  • Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how Engineering is performing against budget.
  • Addresses potential areas of concern and proposing solutions to owners in a proactive manner.
  • Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
  • Supervises construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.

    The Model Validation team provides assurance on the accuracy, robustness, and governance of models across Capitec. The unit plays a central role in supporting sound risk management, financial decision-making, and regulatory compliance.     We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Model Validation Analyst (Decision Science). In this role, you’ll work on end-to-end model validations across different domains, take ownership of key deliverables, and build challenger models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance of the bank’s models

    • Proven 3-6 years’ experience in scorecard building, including developing, validating, and monitoring scorecards for credit risk application/behaviour models or marketing purposes. This experience will be used in the role to challenge models presented to the team and to build challenger models.
    • Experience with data mining used for analyses and predictive modelling.
    • Full understanding of the credit lifecycle.
    • Strong analytical ability, with attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple model types.

    Operations and Support

    Lead major, minor and miscellaneous projects in the Electrical Engineering function and/or managing professional Electrical Engineering work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding considerable degree of originality, ingenuity and judgement, and knowledge of more than one field of, or expertise in a particular field of professional Electrical Engineering.

    The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the Electrical Engineering discipline, including the supervision of Senior Electrical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Junior Electrical Engineers.

    The Principal Electrical Engineer carries out all electrical engineering and design work in accordance with agreed codes and practices that meets all requirements of the contract. Also, to ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures as per the company Engineering Governance Standard.

    To conduct engineering and design work independently and in accordance with the Worley requirements set out in the Technical Stewardship Standard (TSS). Demonstrate and exhibit a very high level of technical competence in the electrical engineering field, as well as technical coordination, planning, estimating and technical leadership.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Electrical Engineering and Design/Technical expertise.

    • Provision of expert knowledge (discipline specific) to conceptual engineering, pre-feasibility design, (FEL2) basic engineering, (FEL3) and detailed design.
    • This would include the interpretation and application of relevant international and national codes and standards and clients specifications.
    • Technical direction advice and control of the Electrical Engineering work on projects.
    • Liaison with customer discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by the contract, nor in codes and standards.
    • Liaison with other project discipline Lead Engineers on technical issues and engineering matters, including the provision of discipline advice on issues not covered by design codes or standards.
    • Development and improvement of company standards and design methods, including execution of work in conjunction with other key stakeholders.
    • Complete complex electrical design activities, which could include advanced analysis methods.
    • General Media and Worley Global participation in discipline activities.

    • Ensure that at completion of projects, all technical documentation (incl. drawings, specifications, minutes of meetings, etc.) are collated, revised to as-built status and handed over to document control for archiving (i.e. complete and proper close-out of projects).
    • Review and approve technical documentation on projects related to Electrical Engineering.
    • Review and comment on vendor data (incl. equipment and packages for compliance to purchase order/contract requirements as well as to integrate equipment into the broader plant.
    • Identify and offer recommendations of new technology developments which will be applicable in providing more cost effective facilities or solutions.

    • Coordination and preparation of input to essential Electrical Engineering documents, as defined by the project Discipline Task and Deliverable Plan (DTDP).
    • Perform regular customer visits where applicable to the field of work.
    • Assist with business development activities and marketing.

    Technical stewardship and SEAL compliance.

    • Ensure compliance with specified engineering codes, standards, procedures, quality plans and Worley policies and procedures.
    • Undertake technical peer reviews of Electrical Engineering work and deliverables on projects and providing remedial actions and recommendations for improvements
    • Assisting in carrying out quality assurance audits/ technical due diligence of contractors and vendors.
    • Responsible for the delivery of HSE standards across specialist discipline, including demonstration of leadership in the delivery of safe and Environmentally Sustainable Design (SD) solutions through Safety in Design (SID) manuals.
    • Responsible for personal safety and to adhere to safe working practices. Understand, implement and ensure that all legal requirements as required by the occupational Health and Safety Act and/or the Mines Health and Safety Act are incorporated
    • Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives, including the determination of relative costs of alternative design concepts and establishment of preferred concepts.
    • Manage man-hours of Electrical Engineering teams on projects and ensure that quality work is completed on schedule within the available budget.

      Staff management and performance.
    • Manage project staff workload and key deliverables in line with deadline requirement, scope and Worley procedures.
    • Typically will regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently with outside customers.

    Learning and development

    • Responsible for his professional development as engineer.
    • Act as mentor to electrical engineers.

    REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB


    Minimum Qualifications

    • BSc, BEng, BTech, or MSc in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institute.
    • Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA.

    Experience

    • Extensive post-qualification experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in design, operations, and project execution.
    • Proven expertise across industries such as Mining, Minerals and Chemicals, Hydrocarbons, Power, and Public Infrastructure.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects and teams through various phases of execution.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

    • Will be required to visit customer sites, supplier offices/workshops as well as construction sites.
    • Will be required to conduct inspections at supplier workshops, as well as conduct inspections on construction sites.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE JOB

    • May be required to travel internationally to other Worley offices, customer and/or supplier sites.
