Key Responsibilities- Month end Reporting: Prepare and consolidate month-end packs for the Region.
- Month end Reporting: Review pack for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance before submitting to Group Financial Manager. Provide variance analysis and commentary on month-to-month reporting.
- Full ownership of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity of all data.
- Deliver monthly management accounts with variance analysis and enforce corrective actions.
- Partner with operations to track cost efficiency (cost/kg, cost/garment, labour productivity, machine uptime) within approved tolerance.
- Ensure daily production and operational reports are validated and reconciled to financial records.
- Review and approve monthly payroll reconciliations.
- Implement and monitor controls for new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
- Reconcile payroll with HR records to prevent overpayment, ghost employees, or misstatements.
- Conduct monthly audits of payroll journals to detect errors or unusual transactions.
- Enforce procurement controls, ensuring compliance with group policies and approval limits.
- Reduce non-compliance spend on B-BBEE procurement by 10% year-on-year.
- Maintain supplier vetting records and monitor adherence to contractual terms.
- Enforce strict inventory controls with segregation of duties, documented reconciliations, and variance approvals.
- Maintain a fully reconciled Fixed Asset Register and track asset condition, usage, and maintenance records.
- Ensure asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals comply with group capital policies.
- Implement ESG initiatives in line with group reporting and control standards.
- Maintain compliance with SHEQ, statutory, and financial regulations.
- Identify financial and operational risks early and implement mitigation plans.
- Track and review sales performance against budget, focusing on margin and customer profitability.
- Verify that commercial decisions follow approval and governance protocols.
- Support GMs in commercial negotiations within delegated authority.
- Ensure sales invoice clerks process all customer invoices accurately and daily in line with control checks.
- Review daily invoicing and dispatch reconciliations to prevent revenue leakage.
- Escalate any discrepancies or control breaches immediately.
- Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts with documented assumptions and sign-off.
- Apply scenario planning with documented risk assessments.

- Maintain AR risk at below 10% and ensure debtor collection actions are documented.

Role DetailsThe Finance Manager will have full P&L responsibility for Kura South Africa delivering the Monthly Management Accounts to the Group Finance Director for review in line with reporting deadlines. A key aspect of the role will be monitoring and analysing the financial performance of individual business streams, requiring the role to work closely with Operations to drive performance improvement and ensure that financial results are delivered to plan.
In addition the Finance Manager will play a key role in developing finance processes and refining the current management account production to streamline and improve the financial reporting to the business. There will also be some commercial pricing work and involvement in the bid process to support new business bids.
Operational Execution- Prepare and maintain a rolling cashflow forecast (cashflow forecasting & analysis).
- Production of monthly management accounts to balance sheet & cashflow level.
- Prepare quarterly financial forecasting in conjunction with all relevant departments.
- Prepare the annual budget in conjunction with all relevant departments.
- Monitor income and expenses in line with relevant budgets and suggest initiatives to improve profitability by consulting with the Group Finance Director.
- Perform monthly analysis of variable and fixed expenses and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Ensure that accounting and internal control best practices are maintained.
- Support the budget holders with all key management information including robust management of the risks and opportunities schedules.
- Identify system weaknesses and recommendations for improvements identified and implemented.
- Proactively participate in process improvement projects both within the Finance team and the wider business.
- Review the general debtors and creditors ledgers.
- Day to Day management of bank accounts and reconciliations monthly.
- Credit Control management for debtors book.
- Ensure correct allocation of revenue and costs between campaigns and cost centers.
- Develop cost center reporting for the business through the Xero Accounting platform.
- Prepare and post all journals to the general ledger.
- Sign off and agree all Intercompany invoices. Collaboration with the UK Finance Team in this regard.
- Review and critical analysis of customer invoicing and VAT returns.
- Control customer onboarding credit limits and debt collection.
- Effective management of available company cash flow.
- Loading all payments on banking for the release.
- Consult with the companys bankers including dealing with the SA Reserve Bank for cross-border transactions.
- Monthly review of the fixed asset registers and sign off.
- Ensure all statutory returns are dealt with timeously.
- Coordinate the statutory audit.

- Payment Runs (Weekly) Load and review the necessary payments for release by the Group Finance Director.
- Prepare the annual GBS (DTI) applications file for review by the Group Finance Director.

- Responsible for assessing BBBEE targets and meeting BBBEE audit requirements.
- Facilitate the financial element of the annual BBBEE audit.
- Preparation and presentation of certificates required for audit.
