Job Title: Junior Operations Manager
Location: Hotazel, Northern Cape (Mine-based)
Industry: Mining
Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month
A mining operation located in Hotazel, Northern Cape is seeking a proactive and driven Junior Operations Manager to join their on-site team. The ideal candidate will assist the senior management team with day-to-day operational functions, contribute to optimizing mining processes, and ensure the smooth running of site activities. Responsibilities- Support the Operations Manager in the planning and execution of mining operations
- Monitor production targets, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and logistics
- Assist in the preparation of operational reports, shift handovers, and production data
- Identify areas for operational improvement and cost-efficiency
- Participate in workforce management, shift planning, and coordination
- Monitor equipment usage and availability on site
- Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment (preferably site-based)
- Strong knowledge of mining processes, production, and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license
