Job Summary

In this role, you will support the Indirect Tax Manager with management of the VAT/GST compliance cycle across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, ROW). Collaborating across the Finance team, your input will ensure best in class compliance outcomes for CDW in all its locations.
What you will do
- Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and submission of complex monthly and quarterly UK and International VAT return, ESL, Intrastat and other statutory returns for all CDW operations.
- Supporting transaction-level VAT analysis and identifying compliance risks.
- Reconciliation of tax return calculations and payments to ERP system data.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment of all VAT liabilities in coordination with other finance teams (e.g. AP, Treasury).
- Supporting internal and external audits relating to VAT/GST.
- Collaborating with other teams (e.g. accounts receivable, credit assessment etc) to ensure that customer master data is accurately maintained for VAT reporting purposes.
- Contributing towards continuous process improvements to aid automation and compliance efficiencies.
- Training non-Tax colleagues (e.g. AP, AR) in basics of indirect tax.

What we expect of you
- NQF 7 (Bachelor's Degree) qualification in B.Com with Accounting and Tax
- 3-4 years’ experience working in VAT/GST compliance roles, preferably with exposure to EU VAT frameworks and regulations.
- Experience of working within a large MNC would be beneficial.
- Good Excel skills are crucial.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure while solving complex tax and financial issues.
