Position Summary:We are seeking a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and coordination of water and sewage infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:- Lead the design of water and sewage infrastructure systems, including hydraulic design and pump station development.
- Produce technical drawings, reports, and other project deliverables.
- Coordinate small to medium-sized projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Implement project controls and liaise with local municipalities.
- Assist in tender preparation and contribute to business development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or BTech).
- Professional Engineer or Technologist registration with ECSA.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in water infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Civil3D, Revit, and/or Bentley software.
- Fluent in Sepedi and English.
- Demonstrated experience managing integrated projects for at least 7 years.
- Comprehensive understanding of water management challenges.
- Familiarity with water quality management and treatment technologies.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle stages from concept to commissioning.

The successful candidate will report to the Foremen Engineering.The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
• Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Maintain, repair, overhaul, erect, dismantle and construct engineering structures according to agreed standards and schedules
• Maintain hoist ropes, rigging tools and equipment, lifing facilities and structures according to standards and procedures
• Cost containment, no rework, availability of equipment, work to OEM specifications
• Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures
• Proactive risk mitigation and compliance
• Competent, motivated and positive team
• Stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
• Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values and leadership initiatives
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills :
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid driver's licence
• Valid first aid certificate
• Analytical and attentive to detail
• Team leadership and management skills
• Sound listening and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
• Sound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologies
• Job planning skill
Good English verbal and written communication skills
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
• 10 year's mining industry experience (underground and surface)• 10 year's trade experience as a Rigger
• Advanced knowledge of winder ropes (preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of heavy lifting requirements (preferred)
