Job Summary
Minimum of 5 years experience in the insurance industry. Knowledge of Power BI. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products. Stakeholder management experience is essential. A B.Com / Law degree or similar qualification is required.
Job Description
- Operationalisation and readiness for go-live of new cells:
- Coordinate with legal and subject matter experts to compile and finalize legal contracts.
- Manage interactions with clients and SMEs as required.
- Draft processes for new cells where necessary.
- Support onboarding of new cell captives and load clients and suppliers on Coupa.
- Ensure completion of intermediary checks and finalize contractual signatures.
- Coordinate FIC process implementation between the client and Absa FIC teams.
- Collaborate with actuarial regarding capital requirements and calculations.
- Coordinate with Company Secretarial on share certificates for new captives.
- Work with compliance to prepare notifications for FSCA and PA.
- Assist in transitioning policies from previous underwriters to ARTIC.
- Update policy disclosures to reflect ARTIC details as per regulations.
- Review and approve marketing materials.
- Facilitate opening of SAP, bank, and investment accounts for the cells.
- Support setup of premium receipt and claims payment accounts.
- Implement debit order processes if applicable.
- Assist in closing first-time events post go-live.
- Oversee finalization of cell complaints processes and communicate with marketing.
- Support communication regarding new cells within the organization.
- Maintenance and relationship management of cells:
- Support ongoing servicing of operationalized cells.
- Schedule and prepare documentation for monthly management meetings covering profitability, claims, complaints, regulatory training, risk management, QA, capital requirements, dividends, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare reports for quarterly/half-yearly board meetings on similar topics.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain relationships.
- Develop management reports and support regulator information requests, including CBR returns.
- Governance:
- Follow up on and resolve queries related to complaints and governance issues.
- Assist in operational challenges related to governance and risk.
- Internal Marketing and Cross-Selling:
- Assist in promoting ARTIC internally and externally at events.
- Board Reports, Management, and Other Reporting:
- Assist in preparing reports for management and board meetings, including trend analysis and strategic insights.
- Support preparation of ad-hoc reports and research for strategic planning.
- Coordinate contributions for STP and MTP cycles and ensure timely submission of board reports.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Management Studies, or related field. Professional qualifications are preferred.
