The role
The Professional Services Project Engineer is responsible for managing and delivering IT projects for both new and existing clients. This role requires scheduling, managing, and ensuring project completion within budget and on time. The engineer will work in Azure data center environments and on-premises infrastructures, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and security to safeguard client data.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the professional services manager and team leads from other service delivery areas.
- Coordinate project schedules with project managers.
- Mentor and train other engineers.
- Prepare, scope, schedule, and coordinate projects with account managers.
- Design and build cloud-based infrastructures.
- Coordinate with clients and third-party vendors.
- Ensure client data integrity and security during projects.
- Install and configure client infrastructure.
- Create detailed, clear, and timely documentation around project infrastructure and services.
Key Requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; ability to present information clearly.
- Ability to identify problems promptly, analyze information, develop solutions, and resolve issues early.
- Maintain professionalism, keep commitments, inspire trust, work with integrity, and uphold organizational values.
- Balance team and individual responsibilities; work well in group problem-solving situations.
- Use experience and logical reasoning to solve problems effectively.
- College degree (three-year college or technical school) preferred in IT or related technical field.
- 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft Cloud Solutions, Azure & Office 365, project management, network administration, or Tier 3 support.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure & Office 365.
- Extensive experience with Entra and Intune.
- Proficiency with IT hardware/software; familiarity with hypervisors like Microsoft Hyper-V & VMware.
- Knowledge of server roles such as Active Directory, SQL, Remote Desktop Services.
- Firewall and network switch installation/configuration.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in cloud architecture, designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- Hands-on experience in developing scalable, high-performance data ingestion and engineering pipelines, performing complex data transformations across large datasets using Apache Spark API and SparkSQL to implement data lake architectures
- Strong programming skills in both Python and Scala
- 5+ years of experience with direct customer (internal or external) interaction with responsibilities in Data and Analytics solutions design, architecture and implementation (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lake House, Data Mesh, Data as a Product and Data Governance including Data quality and controls, etc.).
- Ability to think strategically about business, solutions and technical challenges.
- 3+ years Technical experience preferred, knowledge of Data Technology stack of AWS and integration with Machine Learning and Generative AI
- Industry experience with key vertical markets such as Financial Sector, Telecom, Mining and Retail.
- AWS Experience and Certifications, including implementation of cloud-based Data and Analytics solutions.
- Ability to understand and educate customers on cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges.
- Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
- Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

Job Overview
Business Segment: Business & Commercial Banking
To lead a BS&R team for a BCB Segment, ensuring the delivery of robust end-to-end Business Solutions and Recoveries (BS&R) services for distressed credit (watchlist and NPL items) management within a dedicated segment. To provide specialist advice in the restructuring of distressed exposures, and the recovery of defaulted exposures in terms of the BS&R mandate and in the context of a dedicated portfolio matters, while also supporting other BS&R team members as and when required.
