The 
Professional Services Engineer (PSE)
 plays a key role in implementing and extending SaaS solutions — 
RIVO
 and 
DOKA-SaaS
 — to deliver value-added services and seamless customer experiences.

This role combines technical expertise, analytical thinking, and business understanding to bridge the gap between customer requirements and product capabilities — ensuring smooth integrations, effective data migrations, and optimal use of the platform's built-in extensibility.

The PSE collaborates closely with 
Customer Success Managers (CSMs)
 and 
Business Analysts (BAs)
 to translate business needs into practical, secure, and scalable technical implementations.

 Responsibilities

  • Deliver value-added services and technical implementations for RIVO and DOKA-SaaS customers.
  • Design and implement system integrations using
    solution
    approved APIs and data utilities.
  • Support data migration from legacy systems or other applications into
    solution
    SaaS environments.
  • Conduct technical workshops with customers and internal teams to define, map, and configure solutions.
  • Ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to
    solution
    SaaS architecture, compliance, and security standards.
  • Document configuration, mappings, and integration design for internal knowledge and future reuse.

 What will they do?

  • Integrate:
     Connect RIVO and DOKA-SaaS with customer systems through
    solution
    available APIs.
  • Migrate:
     Upload and transform customer data using official migration and upload tools.
  • Design:
     Build and maintain mapping logic, configuration rules, and workflow connectors.
  • Collaborate:
     Work hand-in-hand with CSMs and BAs to align technical implementation with business goals.
  • Advise:
     Guide customers on technical best practices, system usage, and data preparation for smooth onboarding.

 How will they do it?

  • Using built-in SaaS tools and frameworks:
  • solutions
    REST APIs and utilities
  • Data upload/migration frameworks available in RIVO and DOKA-SaaS
  • Workflow and integration managers (e.g., Zapier, Drools, BPM engines)
  • Within SaaS boundaries:
  • No access to backend code or database
  • No deployment or infrastructure responsibilities
  • Configuration and mapping through approved product interfaces

 What will they not do?

  • Code or customize real application logic within RIVO or DOKA-SaaS.
  • Compile, deploy, or manage server infrastructure.
  • Directly access production or staging databases.
  • Handle on-premise or private-cloud installations — this role is 
    SaaS-only
    .

 Ideal Profile

  • Experience:
     3–6 years in Professional Services, Technical Consulting, or SaaS Implementation roles.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Experience integrating systems via APIs (REST, JSON, XML).
  • Familiarity with data transformation, migration, and mapping logic.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS environments and integration platforms.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Analytical, precise, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts.
  • Collaborative mindset — thrives in partnership with CSMs and BAs.
  • Bonus:
     Experience in trade finance, banking integrations, or fintech systems.

Job Purpose

Key Performance Areas

Main responsibilities

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

  • Knowledge of payment processing, financial systems, or fintech industry preferred but not required for candidates with strong learning potential
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern software architecture concepts

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, or industry-specific regulations
