Minimum requirements for the role
- A BSc degree in a sciences qualification (microbiology or plant pathology) or a related agricultural sciences qualification is essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked within a regulatory, compliance, or data analyst role preferably within the agriculture or related markets is preferred.
- Experience in compiling regulatory submissions and managing compliance data is essential.
- Familiarity with global and local agricultural regulations (e.g., pesticides, fertilisers, biocides, environmental compliance) is preferred.
- Knowledge of product registration processes and safety reporting standards is preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in agriculture, crop protection, pesticides, and fertilisers is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and data management skills with high attention to detail is essential.
- Proficiency in regulatory databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, etc).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing and presenting regulatory information.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and translate them into practical business requirements.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for managing, analysing, and maintaining regulatory data to ensure compliance with national and international standards governing the manufacturing and distribution of agricultural products such as pesticides, fertilisers, and related inputs.
- Compiling accurate regulatory information, supporting product registrations, monitoring compliance trends, and providing data-driven insights to facilitate decision-making.
- Acting as a key link between regulatory affairs, R&D, quality assurance, and commercial teams within the company both locally and internationally.
- Collecting regulatory data and compiling documentation required for product registrations, renewals, and amendments.
- Maintaining accurate regulatory databases, records, and tracking systems to ensure up-to-date compliance information.
- Analysing regulatory requirements and interpreting guidelines across different markets to ensure product compliance.
- Preparing regulatory submissions, reports, and technical dossiers in line with local and international requirements.
- Supporting the registration of new products by providing data insights, compiling regulatory documents, and coordinating with authorities.
- Creating specimen label, MSDS / SDS sheet, and project lists of all laboratory and field trials that would be needed to complete the registration in the county of choice.
- Creating protocols for trials which will be used by internal and or external person for specific product development for both lab and field work.
- Working directly with the department of agriculture when handing in registration dossiers, updates, renewals of current products and collections.
- Checking all published, marketing and label regulations compared to the Act of 7, to ensure that the company is aligned with the regulation required.
- Ensuring that all products are valid and are registered and submitted to the department of agriculture if required for registration proposes.
- Assisting with trials which includes disease pressure scorings, plot planting, data generation, yield estimations and any other task related to consistent and trustworthy data generation.
