Purpose of the Role
The Packaging Manager (Input Retail) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for packaging material within VKB's Input Retail division. The role ensures that packaging solutions meet customer and business needs while driving sales growth, managing costs, and building strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and internal branches.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 as minimum requirement
- National Diploma or Degree in Marketing/Business/Communications will be an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing or sales of packaging material
- Proven track record in agricultural input retail or related field will be an advantage
- Computer literate (MS Office essential; marketing tools advantageous)
- Proficiency in Afrikaans and English
- Clear criminal record
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and implement regional marketing campaigns for packaging products.
- Promote packaging material to farmers and retail customers, ensuring product suitability and quality.
- Support Input Retail branches with in-store promotions, product activations, and seasonal marketing activities.
- Monitor and analyse regional market trends, customer demand, and competitor activity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality packaging material at competitive prices.
- Conduct regular customer visits and farmer days to strengthen client relationships and drive sales.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to management on sales performance, stock movement, and customer needs.
- Ensure packaging budgets are managed effectively and cost controls are implemented.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align packaging initiatives with overall business strategy.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve queries or claims efficiently.
- Oversee marketing stock, promotional materials, and branding for packaging across the region.
- Complete required reports and administration related to marketing and sales.
- Stay updated on industry developments and participate in training and skills development activities.

- Valid EB / Code 8 Drivers License

Purpose of the Role
The Category & Marketing Manager: (Packaging Solutions) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for packaging material within VKB's Input Retail division. The role ensures that packaging solutions meet customer and business needs while driving sales growth, managing costs, and building strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and internal branches.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 as minimum requirement
- National Diploma or Degree in Marketing/Business/Communications will be an advantage

Job Description
The Senior Manager Mining Pre-Production (development) will be accountable for leading the mining Pre-Production team to deliver safe, sustainable productive outcomes in accordance with the business plan. Accountable for managing, directing and leading the execution of mining development together with related surface and underground activities. The role requires a strong emphasis on safety, risk management, design, engineering, procurement, cost management, scheduling, construction activities, commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Take personal accountability for the Safety Leadership agenda for the Pre-Production section, exemplifying and instilling a culture of Zero Harm throughout the business, maintain and encourage a safe work environment at all times
- Lead the Pre-Production team and manage all mining personnel and resources
- Overseeing the development execution planning, engineering, scheduling, mining quality and construction activities associated with the underground development plan including raise bore activities and report on progress
- Accountable for the operation of trackless mining equipment and the full delivery from the underground Pre-production area and any underground scope awarded to the mining contractors associated with pre-production activities.
- Accountable for the preparation of the Pre-production and operational budget, authorizing payments and report performance and costs
- Identify and pro-actively manage all changes and deviations, through the relevant Change Management Process and recommend course of action to mitigate schedule and cost risks.
- Actively collaborate and integrate with internal and external stakeholders on integration matters, resource allocation, and P101 initiatives affecting the effective and efficient delivery of pre-production targets.
- Propose capital expenditure projects to expand capacity or improve operations.
- Recognize operational, technical and safety challenges, take action to prevent or overcome them, and continuously seek improvement
- Contribute to business strategy to improve the company's competitiveness, profitability and growth
- Engage with regulatory authorities to ensure company policies are met
- Oversee the recruitment and development of superintendents, supervisors, and operators, providing support and guidance to build an effective workforce

- Act with utmost urgency when attending to any client request and do so pro-actively.

- Contract retention through maintaining excellent service standards, identifying, and mitigating the risk of cancellation and building strong client relationships with key client contacts.
- Ensure that cleaning methodology are strictly adhered to in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.
- Managing company assets by performing monthly spot checks on high value items. When checking assets ensure that equipment is kept in a good condition and repaired and serviced when required.
- Ensure monthly completion of client specific records in sites where this is required. This may include hygiene consumption reports, cleaning inspection and walk about reports, reports on training performed, reports on client maintenance matters that were reported by cleaning management and/or completion of client monthly surveys.
- Work with HR to allocate staff to sites according to policies and procedure.
- Ensure that all OHS act (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements are adhered to for site specific requirements in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.
- Continually identify potential of additional business within existing contracts and one off cleaning opportunities.
- To implement and manage initiatives and objectives as set out from time to time by our clients and/or Tsebo Management and to support functions such as Quality (Star Grading), Procurement, Training or HR.
- Cleaning managers are to ensure that our TCS brand is protected and represent it professionally at all times.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environment on middle management level.
- Experience in managing large compliments of people.
- Strong understand of cleaning principles and knowledge of company policies and procedures.
