The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and executing the quality strategy across a key global account within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. This role will span multiple geographies (UK, South Africa, Europe, and India), ensuring consistent quality standards, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all delivery centers.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in quality assurance methodologies, automation and financial oversight, with a strong understanding of FCA regulations and conduct risk. They will lead a high-performing team to drive continuous improvement, enhance customer experience, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement a global quality strategy aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-regional quality teams to ensure consistent execution of QA frameworks and methodologies.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to FCA regulations and conduct standards across all geographies.
  • Implement and maintain COPC and Lean Six Sigma frameworks to drive process efficiency and error reduction.
  • Establish proactive quality monitoring systems to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of QA technologies including analytics platforms, RPA, and AI to enhance quality outcomes.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Leverage data intelligence to inform strategic decisions and client reporting.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations during MBRs/QBRs.
  • Collaborate with delivery, client services, and support functions to ensure quality commitments are met.
  • Host client visits and showcase quality capabilities and innovations.
  • Own the quality function’s budget, forecasts, and ROI targets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and service value.
  • Track and report on financial performance of quality initiatives.
Team Development & Culture
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of quality professionals.
  • Foster a high-engagement, people-first culture with strong recognition and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, security, and fraud prevention policies.
Qualification & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years in a senior quality leadership role, preferably in BFSI.
  • Proven experience managing quality across multiple geographies.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and conduct risk.
  • Expertise in COPC standards and QA methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing QA technologies and automation.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Required Technical Skills
  • Expert user of Microsoft Office tools including MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and others
  • Ability to use Excel’s advanced analytical tools such as run charts, histograms, pareto charts, scatter plots, regression, CPK, and be able to explain this to different audiences

Establish a fresh quality assurance solution for the products at Netstock.

Take ownership of product acceptance testing which includes overseeing and executing the quality control process.

Continually maintain and, as much as is reasonable, improve on product test coverage.

Document the Quality Assurance needs required for the role.

What you will be doing
  • Maintain the high quality of Netstock’s software.
  • Define, monitor and improve upon the Quality Assurance process and practices at Netstock, including our quality assurance architecture, frameworks, policies, standards and tools at all stages of the SDLC.
  • Execute the quality control process, including taking ownership of product acceptance testing.
  • Enhance test data as new product features are established.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure that problems discovered will be investigated and the quality assurance process will be adapted to address these problems moving forward.
  • Train Netstock team members on quality assurance control process and policies.
  • Initiate and own the handover of acceptance testing from the customer success team to Quality Assurance.
  • Define, document and maintain the product acceptance testing strategy / approach and expand the depth of testing as your product knowledge improves.
  • Keep abreast of the expectations of the product stakeholders, engaging with the Quality Assurance Manager for assistance in managing these expectations.
  • Execute day-to-day testing related to deliverables planned for each sprint.
  • Define and execute the test automation strategy, considering any needs for alignment across the product engineering teams as well as the broader Netstock automation strategy.
  • Grow and continually update your product knowledge.
  • Take the Quality Assurance Manager with you on the journey.
What we are looking for Experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in test analysis, design and execution at a senior level.
  • Proven experience in balancing between hands-on and tool-based testing activities.
  • Confident in working with knowledgeable individuals.
  • Meticulous at planning for, and recording the outcome of meetings and discussions pertaining to the product engineering process.
  • Previously been responsible for, or been involved in the process, of defining a Quality Assurance framework for a team, or have a clear understanding of what this requires.
Knowledge that will support your success in the role
  • Managing test environments installed on a Linux operating system.
  • Managing test data in flat files and in mysql / Postgres RDBMS using SQL DDL and DML.
  • Using Git repositories to manage source code, including experience in using a Git platform such as Github, GitLab or Bitbucket in an IDE as well as on the command-line.
  • Using an API client to explore, document and test APIs.
  • A proven track record in building automated acceptance tests using tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cypress and / or Microsoft Playwright.
  • Having performed testing working directly with product owners and developers.
  • Using and maintaining GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Using and maintaining Docker containers within a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

What you will be doing
  • Maintain the high quality of Netstock’s software.
  • Define, monitor and improve upon the Quality Assurance process and practices at Netstock, including our quality assurance architecture, frameworks, policies, standards and tools at all stages of the SDLC.
  • Execute the quality control process, including taking ownership of product acceptance testing.
  • Enhance test data as new product features are established.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure that problems discovered will be investigated and the quality assurance process will be adapted to address these problems moving forward.
  • Train Netstock team members on quality assurance control process and policies.
  • Initiate and own the handover of acceptance testing from the customer success team to Quality Assurance.
  • Define, document and maintain the product acceptance testing strategy / approach and expand the depth of testing as your product knowledge improves.
  • Keep abreast of the expectations of the product stakeholders, engaging with the Quality Assurance Manager for assistance in managing these expectations.
  • Execute day-to-day testing related to deliverables planned for each sprint.

What we are looking for Experience
  • 5 or more years of experience in test analysis, design and execution at a senior level.
  • Proven experience in balancing between hands-on and tool-based testing activities.
  • Confident in working with knowledgeable individuals.
  • Meticulous at planning for, and recording the outcome of meetings and discussions pertaining to the product engineering process.
  • Previously been responsible for, or been involved in the process, of defining a Quality Assurance framework for a team, or have a clear understanding of what this requires.
Knowledge that will support your success in the role
  • Managing test environments installed on a Linux operating system.
  • Managing test data in flat files and in mysql / Postgres RDBMS using SQL DDL and DML.
  • Using Git repositories to manage source code, including experience in using a Git platform such as Github, GitLab or Bitbucket in an IDE as well as on the command-line.
  • Using an API client to explore, document and test APIs.
  • A proven track record in building automated acceptance tests using tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cypress and / or Microsoft Playwright.
  • Having performed testing working directly with product owners and developers.
