The main purpose of the job:

To prepare all KFC products in accordance with the KFC standard operating procedures, with strict adherence to Health and Safety standards

Prepare and cook KFC products using approved KFC standards and procedures when instructed by the manager

- Portion ingredients and cooked products using approved KFC procedures

- Hold and monitor product quality by checking and acting upon expiration dates and times for each product

- Ensure the correct use of product holding equipment in respect of holding times and temperatures

- Follow all standard procedures and schedules for cleaning and sanitizing food preparation and storage areas equipment and utensils

- Capture product preparation information and monitor product quality by checking and acting upon expiration dates and times for products

- Adhere to Yum’s culture principles

- Be obsessed about product quality by ensuring product is prepared and served to customers as per KFC standards and every customer is satisfied

- Perform other duties from time to time as requested by the Restaurant General Manager/Assistant Manager/Shift Supervisor

Icebolethu Catering was established to relieve grieving families of the added pressure by ensuring that all guests are well taken care of, as our teams serve with passion and dedication. We are calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of a Food Service Assistant at our Fourways Kitchen. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Catering Department. 1. Minimum Qualifications
   • Grade 12
   • Relevant qualification in the Hospitality / Catering sector or studying towards a hospitality qualification
2. Experience and Knowledge required
   • Minimum of 12 months in the catering sector
   • Driver’s License (Advantageous)
   • Own Vehicle (Advantageous)
3. Skills and Competencies required

   • Ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility
   • Complete all required checklists
   • Perform related work as assigned
   • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of catering equipment and premises at the end of each shift
   • Report any client complaints or comments to the Team Leader
   • Carry out reasonable requests from management
   • Research and stay updated on catering trends to promote competitive services
   • Assist in meal preparation and cooking
   • Ensure compliance with cleanliness and hygiene regulations

Responsibilities

• The main duties of this role will include:
• Actively support our commercial expansion strategy in Africa
• Customer advice on application & production technology
• Professional support during trial and first fillings for our customers on-site
• Consultant for our customers and sales team in relation to all technical questions
• Establish and develop long-term customer relationships monitoring the market and identify market potential
• Consulting for project coordination and process design
• Continuous alignment with and support to local sales team
  
  

• Degree in food technology or comparable work experience
• Professional experience in production technology or technical support or as production technology consultant in beverage and food industry
• Deep technical understanding and basic knowledge of business administration
• Excellent English skills required
• Enthusiasm, initiative and ability to work under pressure
• Team spirit and strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong customer and service orientation and technology skills
• Structured and self-dependent working style
• Flexible and willingness to travel regularly within Southern African region
