Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Sales Representative based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Executive Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and conducting market research to understand customer needs and trends. Additional responsibilities include preparing sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.

Job Summary

The Executive: Executive Sales & Service VC is a value generating role reporting into the Chief Operations Officer (COO). This role is dedicated to spearheading the virtual channel sales and service strategy for Business Banking, ensuring exceptional performance in inbound and outbound sales as well as client servicing. It is responsible for driving customer acquisition, enhancing servicing capabilities, boosting cross-sell opportunities, and achieving satisfaction goals through virtual engagement that is digital-first and powered by data. The incumbent’s mandate includes transforming the virtual channel into a modern, intelligent, and always-available component of the Business Banking Omnichannel experience, tailored to meet clients where they are.   • Lead, inspire and grow high-performing sales and service teams across virtual touchpoints – digital drop offs.
  • Achieve defined revenue, customer acquisition, and cross-sell targets.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education/ Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree: Honours Degree, Post Graduate Diploma and Professional Qualifications (NQF8)

Field of Study:

  • Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.

Work Experience:

  • 12 - 15 years experience in sales and service leadership roles within banking, preferably business banking including a track record of 5 years in a people management position in a large enterprise.
  • Proven track record in delivering sales growth and service excellence in digital and virtual environments.
  • Experience in leading large virtual channel teams.
  • Deep understanding of AI, analytics, robotic process automation, and omnichannel executions.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and customer-orientated mindset.

Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for converting Wamly leads into satisfied paying clients by efficiently managing pipelines. They respond to leads, prioritise outbound activities, and tailor sales approaches.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant business or HR-related Diploma or Certificate

Minimum applicable experience (years):

• 3 - 5 years sales experience

Required nature of experience:

• Sales experience in SaaS or HR industry (beneficial).

• Customer service and client management.

• Outbound sales and prospecting.

• Digital technology and working in a digital environment.

• B2B sales - selling software as a service.

Skills and Knowledge (essential):

• Proficiency in Windows or iOS

• HR Tech industry knowledge

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Knowledge of SaaS sales environment

Skills and Knowledge (desirable):

Other:

• Proficient in Afrikaans and English.

• Own transport and valid driver’s license.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Pipeline Management to Achieve Revenue Growth

• Respond promptly to inbound leads.

• Identify and prioritise outbound opportunities with key prospects.

• Prepare tailored sales approaches, including presentations and discussions.

• Manage the conversion process with consistent communication and follow-up.

• Minimise pipeline leakage and ensure accurate forecasting.

• Drive conversions in line with agreed sales targets.

Client Handover

• Ensure a smooth transition of new clients to the Account Management team.

• Communicate all contractual, operational, and relationship details clearly.

• Document and share all relevant client information with internal stakeholders.

Reporting and Administration

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records in CRM systems.

• Submit sales performance reports, pipeline forecasts, and activity updates.

• Complete all client and deal documentation in full and on time.

About Kazang – Micro Merchant Division

As a sales executive in the Kazang- Micro merchant division you will have an opportunity to join a team of a leading Fintech provider to merchants operating in the informal economy. Sales executives are responsible for prospecting and converting sales for the Kazang best-in-class fintech terminal, that provides merchants the ability to accept card payments and the opportunity to increase their revenue through selling a wide selection of value-added services (VAS) electronic vouchers such electricity, airtime, sports betting and more. If you want to begin a new chapter in your career selling a high demand critical business component for informal merchants, then this is for you.
