About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management and coordination of our vehicle fleet to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update fleet records including vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance
Schedule and monitor routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs
Track vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and mileage
Assist in managing vehicle allocation, driver assignments, and route planning
Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and company policies
Coordinate accident reports, claims, and vehicle incidents
Liaise with service providers and ensure cost-effective fleet operations
Compile and submit monthly fleet performance reports
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Fleet Administrator or in a similar role
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); fleet management software is a plus
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
A diploma or certification in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field (advantageous)

Job Description
Accountable for category strategy development, supplier negotiation, and strategy execution for all related categories within their cluster, supporting these activities with the team.
Responsible for analyzing internal demand factors and external supply market dynamics to develop and execute the category strategy.
Accountable for the procurement performance of the categories against service and value delivery KPIs (e.g., savings targets).
Ensure that the category team performs at high standards and remains engaged.
Position Outputs & Role Overview- Oversee creation and review of a category purchasing strategy for assigned spend categories.
- Develop business change strategies to transform current operations using new strategies and procurement operating models.
- Define and implement a strategic plan for the category, collaborating with the Executive Manager of Category and other managers to drive procurement strategy and best practices.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for the category, from sourcing to contract drafting.
- Monitor and influence all spend within the category, securing value and economies of scale from suppliers.
- Build strong supplier relationships to manage performance and meet business needs, working with internal stakeholders to enhance procurement visibility and credibility.
- Manage procurement-related risks by identifying risk areas, quantifying exposure, and executing mitigation actions.
- Monitor performance against SLAs/KPIs, collaborating with end users and teams.
- Research and analyze supply market and supplier capabilities for strategic insights.
- Provide analytical support for new targets and expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- MBA or related postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in large enterprises, including 3-5 years in middle management roles.
- Hands-on management experience in procurement teams and processes.
- Experience with PFMA, PPPFA, and public sector procurement.
- MCIPS certification and CIPS membership are advantageous.
- Driver’s license code 08.
- Travel as required and approved.
- Develops governance frameworks in SCM.
- Develops mandates for SCM governance structures.
- Develops the SCM chapter of the delegation of authority framework.
- Develops and maintains supply chain policies and manuals for general goods, services, and construction procurement.
