Job Description

The position will partner with the Group Country Manager's office and be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, deal creation/modelling and analytics to be used by executive management. This role will have direct exposure to the Southern and Eastern Africa (SEA) leadership team and, in addition, be required to work closely with other Finance teams globally.

Revenue Analytics & Business Partnering


•Partner with geographic counterparts and regional teams to ensure alignment on financial performance and drivers of forecasts/results


•Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting requirements in accordance with deadlines


•Provide leadership in the areas of financial modelling, deal structuring and investment decision support.


•Business Partnering to develop strategies to drive growth and execution thereof


•Prepare comprehensive business trend materials used for communication to the SEA and regional leadership teams


•Ensure data integrity and consistency of information as well as organized documentation of results and data sources used


•Lead the commercial structure of client incentive deals and build the associated financial models while ensuring that Visa's interests are front & center while offering attractive terms to client to ensure continued market share wins for Visa


•Manage, evolve and communicate weekly progress on deal modelling (structuring, proposed pricing, margin), governance processes (review, approval, wins), and ensuring accurate reflection in market plans and forecasts with insight on performance tracking.


•Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to funnel a pipeline of opportunities with existing and new clients into commercial offers that achieve strategic and financial goals while meeting business and global process and governance requirements.


•Engage in opportunities to grow profile with leaders across the organization to influence strategy and solving challenges with financial modelling, data and analytics, and competitive intelligence.


•Actively maintain and improve current tools / models and introduce new tools/models, processes, analysis, and insight to deepen commercial understanding and improve decision making


•Perform robust financial analysis and be able to succinctly outline and present key drivers, themes and risks while applying business and financial acumen to explain underlying drivers of results across several scenarios -

oProvide quality and thoughtful analysis of deal structures, proactively contribute and implement best practices in all deals, and collaborate with business teams to achieve commercial outcomes while identifying and mitigating risks


•Collaborate in the storyboarding of financial outputs and production of communication materials for related presentations used in reviews and decision-making forums -

oCo -develop financial proposals with Visa sales teams, due diligence financial projections, provide feedback to optimize risk-adjusted returns, ensure financial proposal alignment to commercial proposal, and contribute to negotiation strategy

oCreate presentations for internal approvals and external client facing partnership specific discussions. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications


•10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Preparing and approving SWIFT payment instructions
  • Reconciliation of investment positions and working on reconciliation breaks
  • Assign daily and periodic responsibilities related to subscription/redemption processing, investment transaction input, and reconciliation tasks.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of Investment Support officers
  • Monitor workload distribution to ensure balanced task management and timely execution of client instructions.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Appropriate degree or higher diploma and 5 to 8 years of experience in working in the financial industry would be an advantage
  • STEP qualifications would be an advantage but at least a good understand of basic information re Offshore Trust and Company and the relationship between Trust and Company, Trustee and Beneficiaries
  • Team management experience required

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports to the local Team Ops of Client Support - Banking and Investments Support Team. Other working relationships include all members of Family Office Client Support, FO, Dealing and Treasury, Banking and various external business contacts (Financial institutions).

OVERALL PURPOSE
The individual will form part of the Banking and Investment Support team and will ensure a high quality and consistent client service. The individual will assist in the execution of instructions and various administrative tasks around bank account and investment management in an accurate way and by respecting appropriate deadlines.

Principal Elements & Accountabilities
BANKING

  • Opening and closure of bank and investment account with core and non-core banks
  • Collaborate with a variety of financial institutions across numerous jurisdictions worldwide to set up client relationships
  • Maintain bank and investment accounts, for instance by adding/removing a beneficiary/settlor/protector or give a power of attorney to a third party
  • Maintain bank and investment account
  • Maintain E-Banking users list
  • Take on and loss of clients
  • Transfer of equities, bonds, mutual funds and private placement between custodians, through fund administrators and/or with private companies
  • Input of data in our in house integrated database system to keep up to date information at any point in time
  • Respond to day to day queries from internal and/or external parties and help resolving issues
  • Manage and execute business initiative independently from inception to implementation
  • Relevant/day to day people management tasks

INVESTMENTS

  • Preparing subscription/redemption instructions for Alternative Investments (Single Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Property Funds etc)
  • Inputting non-automated investment transactions in our in-house integrated database systems
  • Keeping line by line and non-automated client's investment accounting up to date
  • Managing and executing instructions like corporate actions, proxy votes, conversions, capital calls and distributions
  • Collating KYC, FATCA, CRS and compliance documentation for fund administrators and other third parties
  • Preparing SWIFT payment instructions
  • Reconciliation of investment positions and working on reconciliation breaks

Qualifications And Experience

  • Appropriate degree or higher diploma and 2-3 years of experience in working in the financial industry would be an advantage
  • STEP qualifications would be an advantage but at least a good understand of basic information re Offshore Trust and Company and the relationship between Trust and Company, Trustee and Beneficiaries
  • Team management experience required
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook and modern financial accounting packages)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Double Entry Bookkeeping and Multi-Currency accounting
  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial Products

This role will have a strong focus on finance and data analysis. The group has interests across the country and this role will be situated in Paarl, Western Cape.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary degree with at least 2 years experience in a management accounting and financial analysis role. A professional qualification, especially a CIMA designation, would be highly valued, though other designations are also acceptable given the appropriate job and industry experience.

The purpose of the role is to collect and analyse financial data to determine the gross profits of food projects and product lines, while preparing budgets and cost reports for management with a focus on gross profit and stock control. This role involves identifying areas for cost optimisation, recommending strategies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and the development of enhanced financial models.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyse key financial data to determine gross profits of various projects and product lines.

Data Collection & Management & reporting :

  • Extract and manage data from multiple sources, including ERP systems and external databases.
