WHAT YOU WILL DO
Client engagement & Pre-sales
- Act as a trusted advisor in the pre-sales process, confidently engaging with potential clients to understand their vision, challenges, and goals.
- Provide strategic product consulting , helping clients refine their product direction and align their vision with actionable roadmaps.
- Lead and facilitate discovery sessions, ensuring a structured approach to defining business problems and opportunities.
- Influence decision-making by articulating a clear product strategy and validating business value.
- Proposal development & Consultancy
- Work closely with internal teams to shape compelling proposals that align with the client’s business needs.
- Provide strategic recommendations on product direction, market positioning, and user experience.
- Define and estimate design efforts , contributing to proposal timelines and approaches.
- Advocate for user-centered design , ensuring that proposals include practical, impactful design solutions.
Design leadership & Execution
- Facilitate prototyping efforts , especially in the early stages of engagement, driving/creating napkin/high-level prototypes/concepts when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with business strategy and technical feasibility.
- Guide design decisions that enhance user experience while considering business and technological constraints.
- Building the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Product Management.
- Establish best practices for product management and strategic design within the company.
- Growing the team of product owners, upskill team on product thinking, user research methodologies, and market validation techniques.
- Develop frameworks and guidelines that help teams deliver high-quality product strategies across projects.
- Advocate for a product-driven culture, ensuring teams maintain a balance between business needs, user needs, and technical execution.

MUST HAVES
-Executive/Managerial experience: Conduct meeting with executive stakeholders (C-level, VPs, Directors, etc), creating and driving presentations that showcase strategic thinking with a clear business impact.
- Experience: 3+ years in Executive roles such as Director/Head/VP of Product Strategy, and/or 5+ years of Manager roles in Product Management and UX Design, or Product Strategy and UX Design roles.
- Expertise in Product Strategy: Ability to define, refine, and validate product concepts with clients.
- Strong UX Background: Hands-on experience in wireframing, prototyping, and user research.
- Consultative Mindset: Experience working with clients, facilitating workshops, and shaping product visions.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and product-market fit.

Role purpose :
To conduct UX and market research for Vodacom Financial & Digital Lifestyle Services’ Digital & Marketing team. The responsible individual will need to handle day-to-day UX research activities including recruitment, planning and coordinating usability tests, observing and running of tests, documentation of insights, reporting and presenting outcomes to stakeholders. The person will have to support the UX team by maintaining an up to date view of our users’ digital habits, behaviors and needs. The objective is to support the UX lead in achieving research goals.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Conduct UX research for Vodacom Financial & Digital Lifestyle Services.
- Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes.
- Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods, subset of quantitative methods (i.e. surveys), and interpret analysis through the lens of UX, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), and social science.
- Recruit participants and assist UX designers in running user testing studies.
- Generate insights that both fuel ideation and evaluate designs.
- Research the latest visual design, UI and interaction concepts, presentation layer technologies, digital best practices, online trends, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct best practice research to develop and improve UI and interaction design to solve end user problems effectively.
- Create sound recommendations after each stage of testing and ideation based on research and user observations.
- Research market, customers and potential customers to keep an up-to-date view of digital habits, behaviors and user needs.
- Generate profiles to be used in the creation of empathy maps and personas.
- Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately.
- Work cross-functionally with UX designers and product management.
- Support our UX design lead on studies and assist in achieving research goals.
- Work with product leaders to prioritize research questions based on analysis of current knowledge, project goals, identified risks, and project impact. Identify best method or mix of methods to address research questions, with consideration for timeline and resources with minimal guidance.
- Advise UX design team and product managers on research opportunities and best practices at all stages of an agile product development process.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, effectively to make decisions based on a strong understanding of business, customer and design tradeoffs.
- Participate in team activities and team planning with the aim of improving team skills, awareness and quality of work.
- Present results from usability tests and other user research to project teams.
- Monitor statistics and analytics (such as Adobe Analytics) across sites with an aim of obtaining a better understanding of user behavior and improving user journeys.
- Actively work on improving user experience and engagement across all our sites and products.
- Evangelize good user experience, demonstrating measurable value to other team members and stakeholders, and encouraging a culture of UX.
- Foster a healthy tension between stakeholders, encouraging discussions that take into account business needs, user needs, and what is possible.
Competencies :
- Comprehensive knowledge in a variety of industry-centric qualitative research methods, such as semi-structured interviews, contextual inquiries, usability studies, diary ethnographic studies, unmoderated remote studies, paper prototyping, surveys, A/B testing and Card sorting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct research in close collaboration with people in a variety of roles, including design, technology, and product management.
- Knowledge of quantitative, behavioral analysis, and statistical concepts.
- Experience with survey research (questionnaire design, sampling, analysis).
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for the implementation of designs.
- Excellent communication (presentation and interpersonal skills).
- Understanding of qualitative analysis and reporting methods suitable for the fast pace of industry; ability to quickly shift the methodology and scope of research projects to meet short deadlines while collecting the best possible data and delivering actionable results.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting the development and continuous improvement of the open course offerings on the edX platform, with a focus on optimizing learner experiences, market positioning of courses and driving performance through data analysis. This role is critical in driving the roll-out of new strategic cross-functional initiatives, standardization of course experiences, and edX's AI-driven product strategy. Senior Product Marketing Manager will be accountable for improving open course quality as measured by learner satisfaction ratings. Product Development & Optimization
- Lead on high-impact edX product improvements, and course experience standardization, as well as proposing innovations to keep the edX product in line with market expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver cohesive and aligned product experiences by building a shared vision and driving projects forward.
- Provide input into product experience design and best practices to prioritise quality at scale. Help to position these experiences/improvements to B2C and B2B learners.

We are seeking an experienced Design Expert with a strong background in User Experience (UX)
and User Interface (UI) design to join an Innovation Team. As a key member of our design team,
you will be responsible for designing innovative and user-centered digital products and services
across all digital channels, with a primary focus on iOS. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to develop design concepts, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that meet
business objectives and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Design innovative and user-centered digital products and services across all digital channels,
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop design concepts, prototypes, and highfidelity designs
- Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of brand, products, and services to ensure design
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this
- Provide design expertise and guidance to team and client
- Participate in design reviews and critiques to ensure design quality and consistency
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in UX and UI design, with a focus on digital products and services
- Strong portfolio that showcases your design skills and deep iOS experience
- Excellent design skills, with a focus on user-centered design principles
- Strong understanding of design tools and software, including Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work eVectively with
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically
- Experience working in an innovation function or similar environment
- Knowledge of design systems and design language systems
- Certification in UX or UI design (e.g. CUA, UX Design Certification

Our client is looking for an individual to join their growing IT team as an UX/UI Design Lead to Lead the design of user interface and the visual and user-experience elements of digital products. Applying an advanced level of expertise, guide stakeholders and team members in the practice of product design and lead the translation of high-level requirements into interactive designs
Responsibilities:
Design and Conceptualisation
- Lead a collaborative digital product/service design process by gathering input across all product/service portfolios to define a design system that is viable and scalable, and which strengthens the brand. Lead a cross-portfolio, multidisciplinary team that contributes to the evolution of the system.
Customer Experience Mapping:
- Lead implementation and performance of techniques such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis to identify customer pain points, challenges, and hurdles; advise on approaches to eliminate negative experiences and enhance customer interactions.
Internal Client Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships with internal clients and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and managing the deployment of appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
Product and Solution Development:
- Is responsible for managing the definition, development and delivery of a significant product or service within the product development and engineering program, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
