About The Position
As a lead member of the EMEA Solutions team at Energy Exemplar, the ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of expertise in power market fundamentals, energy system modelling, and market analysis. This Role Has Two Primary Objectives
- Deliver tailored support and solutions: Collaborate with customers to ensure PLEXOS effectively supports a wide range of power market applications from long-term capacity expansion and policy evaluation to short-term operational planning and reliability analysis.
- Support business development and thought leadership in the power sector: Generate market insights, deliver technical demonstrations, and provide domain expertise during the sales process to promote the adoption of PLEXOS across organisations involved in electricity market planning, operations, and policy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with utilities, system operators, regulators, and developers to design and deliver advanced electricity market models using PLEXOS.
- Gather and analyse customer requirements to tailor modelling solutions for applications such as price forecasting, capacity expansion, and operational planning.
- Build, test, and calibrate models to provide accurate, data-driven insights supporting planning, regulatory compliance, and market analysis.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electricity and power markets
- Expertise in energy market modelling and optimisation tools (e.g. PLEXOS, BID3, Antares, SDDP, PROMOD)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic are essential, as the role involves engaging with stakeholders across MENA and international regions.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual collaboration tools
