Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric.

  • 1-2 years underwriting experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Making accurate individual underwriting decisions for new applicants and additional dependents applying to join Momentum Medical Scheme by applying:
  • The Medical Schemes Act (legislation);
  • The Momentum Medical Scheme underwriting policy;
  • Standards, protocols and guidelines set.
  • Liaising with brokers, applicants, members and doctors where applicable with regards to underwriting decisions made either telephonically, in writing or in person as required.

  • Effectively resolving any queries received and identifying trends and training gaps.

  • Driving and supporting effective departmental team work.
