Requirements
Grade 12/Matric.
1-2 years underwriting experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Making accurate individual underwriting decisions for new applicants and additional dependents applying to join Momentum Medical Scheme by applying:
- The Medical Schemes Act (legislation);
- The Momentum Medical Scheme underwriting policy;
- Standards, protocols and guidelines set.
Liaising with brokers, applicants, members and doctors where applicable with regards to underwriting decisions made either telephonically, in writing or in person as required.
Effectively resolving any queries received and identifying trends and training gaps.
Driving and supporting effective departmental team work.
Additional Information:
Maintain a broad product, legislation and standards/protocols knowledge in order to effectively and accurately perform the role of an underwriter.
Adhere to organisational best practice and legislative requirements.
Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly.
