My client is seeking a skilled and driven Senior News Journalist to join their respected business-to-business media organization that produces content across both print and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in news journalism and a proven ability to identify and report on impactful, sector-specific lead stories. This role is focused on coverage within the travel and tourism industry, requiring a professional who is eager to become an expert in a niche field and establish a strong network of industry contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and write original, compelling lead news stories relevant to the travel and tourism trade sector.
- Establish and maintain a network of reliable sources and industry contacts.
- Monitor industry trends and developments both locally and internationally to inform reporting.
- Attend events, conduct interviews, and represent the publication within the industry.
- Collaborate with editorial and content teams to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Deliver content that reflects a clear understanding of the B2B media environment and its audience needs.

About the Role
The Travel Operations Agent serves as the first point of contact for customers, addressing queries via telephonic and written channels. The role focuses on achieving first-contact resolution for issues such as ticketing, booking changes, cancellations, schedule adjustments, and other travel-related inquiries via telephone, email and chat functions. This position requires delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring error-free task completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience:
- Resolve customer queries through various channels within SLA.
- Collaborate with suppliers to offer the best solutions.
- Adhere to service quality and quantity standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Meet team QA scorecard targets.
- Ensure accuracy in ticketing, amendments, cancellations, and fare rule compliance.
- Maintain and improve supplier relationships.
- Productivity:
- Action bookings in operations queues within SLA.
- Process payments and reissue tickets accurately.
- Error Management:

Job Requirements:
Qualification & Experience:

- Strong knowledge of fares, calculations, and Travelstart systems/policies.
- Proficiency in Amadeus or other GDS systems
- At least 2 years of travel industry experience.
