Role We have a fantastic opportunity in our team based in South Africa. This is a challenging role where you will be involved in producing cost estimations, considering the production cost requirements, all related costs, and margins. Responsibilities Responsible for producing cost estimations, considering the production cost requirements, all related costs, and margins. Responsible for generating final and complete quotations/tenders for presentation to clients. Have an in-depth understanding of all cost items and variables influencing pricing. Review and report on project costs variances and improve costing models. Project management and planning. Oversee and update the cost estimation processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy, reliability, timeliness, and consideration of all related costs and margins. Produce and generate quotations/tenders for clients, determining cost items and variables influencing pricing. Review all rental costs and implement strategies for savings on equipment, labor, and tools. Analyze requirement documents, blueprints/drawings, and project plans to understand project scope. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiating costs. Manage tenders from vendors and contractors. Use tendering data to prepare detailed cost analyses. Present estimates to management and stakeholders. Record actual costs versus tendered prices and compile cost reports. Train and upskill team members as required. Ensure accurate project costing and reduce financial risks. Plan materials, manpower, transportation, and accommodations. Oversee precast and ready-shape departments. Participate in project close-outs and meetings. Achieve internal customer satisfaction through accurate and timely cost estimation activities. Adhere to HSEQ SOPs for the area. Requirements Proven experience as a cost accountant, analyst, or similar role. Minimum qualification: AAT, Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA; ideally CIMA Finalist. Understanding of industrial processes and costing principles. Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), practices, laws, and regulations. Ability to handle complex financial data. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in financial software (IFS/SAP) and IT skills, especially Excel and Google Suite. Self-motivated, curious, and capable of working under pressure.
