Purpose of the job

The key function of the QA Analyst is to test software applications and systems for bugs and defaults, to enhance the user experience.

• 3-8 years of experience working with data, with a strong emphasis on testing and documentation.
  
• Possess a deep understanding of the test lifecycle, defect management, and requirement traceability.
  
• Able to break down complex workflows into clear, step-by-step test plans and effectively identify edge cases.
  
• Collaborative working style, with experience engaging cross-functional teams.
  
• Advanced skills in Excel and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence, Word).
  
• Experience or formal training in software QA.
  
• Exposure to financial services, investment operations, or reporting/data-driven environments.
  
• Familiarity with SQL for data validation and ad hoc querying, and an understanding of Agile delivery practices and test coverage metrics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•5-8 years’ experience in a testing or similar role
•ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Qualification 
•Experience in project management & QA methodology

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

•Manual testing
•Understanding of the SDLC and how QA fits into the process
•Experience in using industry standard test management tools (e.g. JIRA / Zephyr, Confluence, DevOps)
•API or Mobile device testing experience
•Knowledge of IT and basic SQL skills
•Has knowledge of QA and bug testing tools and testing methodologies
•Working knowledge of test management software
•Basic test case scripting
•Understands test automation frameworks and tests
•Basic knowledge of SQL query and data analysis level

The suitable and successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development and performance of an assigned incubation team through the facilitation of the course map and leading and developing the team of incubation agents. They will also coach ‘bottom performers’ as assigned.

Responsibilities:

1. Coaching
   • Daily coaching feedback monitored and sent to Team Leaders and Operations to ensure traction.
   • Internal calibration sessions held every two weeks (where we unpack the calls sent to internal staff, score the agent based on analysis, and align all process and quality-related concerns).
2. Client Feedback & Alignment
   • Escalations (Client Journeys) done daily (call analysis of query).
3. Reporting
   • Weekly reporting of CEO escalations that are analysed.
   • Calibration Weekly reports prepared and sent to the Client (every Friday).
   • Biweekly quality reporting to the international quality team.
   • Monthly repeat call analysis report.
   • Monthly top ten agents incurring the highest repeats (deep analytical report).
4. Quality Assurance
   • Daily Quality Assessments completed (the number of Assessments is dependent on various and/or other more urgent requirements that may be expected).
   • Weekly Detailed Quality Report.
   • Weekly call listening sent by the client to analyse.
   • Calibration sessions (voice of our clients) held every Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
   • Must be a people’s person.
   • Must be passionate about other people’s development and growth potential.
   • Must be comfortable facilitating reports, analysis & elaborate presentations during training.

The Role

As a QA Test Analyst, you will play a critical role in making sure the software delivered is not only functional but exceptional. You will collaborate across the product lifecycle, from refining requirements and user stories to validating solutions before release.

What You'll Do

• Design and run test plans and test cases (manual and automated)
• Partner with developers, designers, and product managers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria
• Carry out functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and system testing
• Test across web, mobile, cloud-based, API-driven, and IoT environments
• Log and track bugs, working with the team to resolve them effectively
• Help shape QA processes, frameworks, and automation strategies
• Ensure full coverage of new features and enhancements, with an eye for real-world usage and edge cases
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release reviews
• Validate releases and ensure smooth deployments
  
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automated)
• Background in testing mobile and web applications
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) and APIs
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of agile development practices
• Basic knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or Postman would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills - this will be a client facing role
