Our client is looking for FITs/Groups
and/or
Senior Consultants to join their team.
East Rand, JHB
OR
Southern Suburbs, Cape Town Based.
Office based with the option to go Hybrid.
Criteria and Key Responsibilities:
· Must be sales driven, working mostly with tailor-made itineraries.
· Know what to sell and what not to sell - know the product mix and preferred partnerships.
· Shop for rates, even with preferred suppliers. Best pricing always.
· Understand the intricacies of your product, hotel types, flight possibilities, transfers, tours etc. and be able to upsell. Use approved suppliers first and ensure contracts are in place.
· Apply effective selling and tracking techniques to close every potential sale or enquiry.
· Work the following markets -
UK, USA, Australian, India and Europe
(Travel/Flight Agency exp, will NOT be considered) Strictly Inbound Tour Operations/DMC.
·
Create itineraries in, and therefore required knowledge of the country's specifically work with - South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe
·
Assist in designing tour packages by skilfully negotiating and contracting rates that will help convert as many enquires and/quotes into bookings profitably and to perform the company's administrative and operational matters.
(60% of your time to be spent on quoting and booking confirmations and 40% on admin, general office related matters and operations).
· All invoicing on files to be doubled checked prior to submission to clients or accounts for final payment and closure. No losses or overcharging.
· Files to be checked timeously prior to arrival - all travel services are booked and confirmed, and all details are communicated to suppliers and clients. Errors omitted and hassle-free travel.
· Ensure correctness of costs, margins, nett and gross selling by checking with suppliers first
· Reduce transaction turnaround times and ensure effective communication with suppliers and team. Everything important or monetary related to be done in writing.
