We’re looking for a caring, hands-on Nursing Assistant to support our veterinary team with daily patient care, cleaning, and handling tasks. You’ll help keep the hospital running smoothly while ensuring our patients are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Key Duties:

Assist with patient restraint and basic care

Clean cages, prep areas, and surgical rooms

Feed, walk, and monitor animals

Restock and maintain supplies

Support vets and nurses as needed

Requirements: Previous animal care or kennel experience preferred

Physically fit and comfortable with all animals

Compassionate, reliable, and a team player

• I year of relevant experience minimum.
• Enrolled Nursing Assistant certificate.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council.
• Certificate in Audiometry testing, Lung Function testing and Vision screening.

• To perform audiometry testing, lung function testing and vision screening.
• To conduct basic health assessments and vital signs
• Must be able to read and interpret audiometry tests, lung function tests and vision screening results.
• Must be able to assist with filling and data capturing.
• Must be able to conduct health education talks for employees.
• Ensure continued functioning of the clinic in the absence of the Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner.

• Work towards KPIs and targets relating to placements, revenue, and candidate satisfaction
• Keep up to date with market trends, pay rates, and industry regulations in the health and social care sector

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in healthcare recruitment or a similar high-volume recruitment role
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and care sector compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Results-driven with a focus on providing exceptional service to both clients and candidates
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM tools

• Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.

The role you'll contribute:

The Certified Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse, assumes responsibility for direct patient care.Through knowledge and assessment of the individual patient, provides patient care in a clean and safe environment.Reports patient needs and changes in the patient status to the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.Represents the Department of Patient Care Services in a professional and courteous manner.

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification

CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.
