Nature & ScopeThe Nutrition Services Assistant I works independently following standardized routines under the direction of the Nutrition Services Lead. The role requires strict adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations. The incumbent interfaces with students, school administrative staff, nutrition services colleagues, teachers, and non-licensed school staff. Because there is frequent interaction with students and parents, the position requires professional decorum, calm demeanor, and the ability to act as a role model. The position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance to regular, temporary, or substitute employees as required.
