Main Purpose of the Role:
To bring insightful guidance to our clients that shapes how they leverage relevant and emerging technology to help them and to achieve that vision.
We expect individuals to engage with a multi-skilled ecosystem spanning Technology, Strategy, Data Science, Analysis and Design and Delivery Management professionals.
We partner with our clients and work collaboratively to achieve benefits and outcomes that are beyond the reach of ordinary people.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A tertiary degree with honours that has given you an opportunity to grow your problem solving skills within a technology context
- Examples: BBusSci, BCom, BSc Eng, BEng or BSc.
Experience:
- 4-8 years consulting experience
- 4-8 years technology experience
- A track record successfully of shaping and leading technology change in businesses
Job Objectives:
- Understand the impact of business trends and emerging technology on our clients and their customers and staff
- Architect and design solutions to meet current and future business needs
- Help clients innovate and create new digital business models
- Define roadmaps and approaches for delivering technology and transformation
- Build real and meaningful relationships with technology leaders in our clients
- Work with our clients to create innovative solutions to business problems
- Persuade and Influence other leaders to make good decisions
- Drive the execution of key initiatives, through approach and knowledge, to support projects delivery and bring technology strategy to life
- Profile the BSG brand to attract talent and build further client opportunities
- Coach and mentor other consultants to grow skills and drive effective delivery
Skills and Attributes:
- Affinity and aptitude for technology and technical solutions
- Experience in either IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design and/or technical delivery
- Ability to structure, solve problems and communicate solutions
- Ability to collaborate with both BSG and client team members
- Data gathering and analysis
- Ability to construct delivery approached and lead teams through knowledge
- Conducting and Facilitate workshops and sessions
- Exposure to emerging technology and technology trends shaping business
- Skilled in IT practices and solution design with certification in standards such as COBIT, ITIL and/or TOGAF
- Exposure to design thinking, lean start-up and agile practices
- Natural leadership and the ability to easily establish trust-based relationships,
- Skilled in gaining valuable insights through collaboration and communication
- Enjoys challenging work and has the proven ability to adapt manage change

- The Technology Owner is accountable for the strategy of one or more Products or Services. This role will drive product strategies and technology architecture and lead technology research, evaluation and build efforts in support of product strategies.
- Accountable for setting & driving the strategy of one or more Products or Services, including the development and maintenance of the “buy, hold, sell” status of each (EOL/EOS).
- Product development to create products with new or different characteristics that offer new or additional benefits to the customer.
- Drive the product strategies
- Lead the design of services, ensuring they meet LoB requirements and make use of standard product components.
- Lead the translation of cross LoB requirements and demand into product strategies.
- Develop and maintain the necessary entries for their domain within the service catalogue, documenting the key criteria for each service such as pricing, availability, service levels and inclusions/exclusions.
- Lead technology research, evaluation and buildefforts in support of product strategies
- Drive & Support the technology Products & Services architecture
- Lead engineers in developing and managing technical design and configuration into the implementation of product strategies
- Drive a maintenance plan for all products to ensure version and patch levels are maintained to defined standards
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of a reference architecture and multiyear roadmap for each service
- Work with all relevant service delivery organizations across the firm to ensure services are implementable and supportable.
- Ensure robust procedures are developed for both, leveraging efficiencies wherever possible

Experience in a networking role as it relates to Data Centre Technology.

As part of this team, you will work with the functional owners who are usually positioned in the Centres of Excellence and People Operations to ensure that all people systems and technologies are leveraged to deliver effective and cost-efficient processes. You will be accountable for the full life cycle of technology products: requirements gathering, vendor selection, solution design and configuration, deployment, sustain, adoption and solution retirement.
Duties & Responsibilities- Priority setting: understand sub-functional strategy, processes and ways of working and align with functional owners on priorities and plans.
- Run a requirements gathering/Joint application development session to gather new requirements.
- Business Case: provide input to functional owners on business cases specifically on the product deliverables.
- Accurately document functional requirements specifications clearly defining project objectives.
- Construct complex process models and create UML models.
- Solution Design: translate functional and business requirements into a technology ideally leveraging the out of the box processes and functionalities of our preferred technology vendors (buy, configure, build). Basic principles: standardisation and simplicity, putting the user at the centre of the process and technology design.
- Solution Configure: provide the IT Services configuration teams with input on configuration and support with relevant testing activities.
- Deployment and delivery: based on the deployment priorities and plans set by the functional owner, work with the regional People Systems and Tech teams on deploying the technology solutions.
