Award winning entrepreneur | Co-Founder & CEO of uniMark | Aspire institute Scholar | Member of the Dean's Advisory council at the University of…

Join UniMark as Our Chief Technical Officer (Equity Co-Founder)

UniMark is a student-focused service platform designed to provide high-frequency, essential services for university students. Instead of being a marketplace for goods or one-off items, UniMark focuses on services that students need regularly. Some core features include:

  • Faculty merchandise : Ordering and delivery of branded merchandise for faculties.
  • Grooming & beauty : Services like nails, hair, and makeup appointments.
  • Tutoring & academic support : Access to local tutors
  • Health services : Access to student-focused health and wellness services.

We’re not a classifieds site or a “sell anything” marketplace. We target high-frequency essential services, built for students, by students — digitising the fragmented, mostly offline student economy into a central, trusted ecosystem.

Why now?

  • Western Cape #1 Startup — Winners of the 2025 EDHE InterVarsity Regionals, heading to Nationals
  • Finalists at Pitch UCT
  • R100,000+ in processed sales through our MVP (with just one vertical live)
  • Currently onboarding new service verticals and expanding to more campuses

We’re growing fast and need a technical co-founder — not an employee. You’ll own UniMark’s technical vision and execution, from product architecture to scaling.

Who we’re looking for:

  • You believe in UniMark’s vision and want to build something enduring , not just code for a paycheck
  • You have experience (or the hunger to learn) in building scalable platforms
  • You think strategically about product, security, and scalability — not just features
  • You thrive in high-growth, scrappy startup environments

Compensation:

Equity-based — you join as a co-founder. This is about ownership, impact, and building something big.

Location: Flexible (South Africa preferred, but open to remote)

If you want to own and lead the technical heart of a startup with massive student market potential , message me directly with “CTO – UniMark” in the subject.
