GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting directly to the Technical Support and Engineering Project Manager, this position is responsible for providing technical training to all dealers and customers in Africa.
The primary focus is to provide accurate and quality technical training of the highest standards. Subject to the training received by the OEM. To do this, the role will include traveling locally and abroad, subject to availability and personal safety standards being met. To provide technical training from novice to intermediate levels. Any additional work requirements will be presented in writing, along with the necessary training and additional remuneration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Should be KPI/A related)
TECHNICAL TRAINING CURRENT
- Prepare and provide:
o Face-to-face technical training as per OEM guidelines.
o Digital Technical Training as per OEM guidelines.
- In-house and on-site technical training locally and abroad, subject to availability and personal safety standards
o being met.
Provide basic technical training in addition to technical training modules, where capable and possible as per
OEM guidelines.
Train the trainer operating training – (maintenance and operation of the machines / Specific to the OEM
operators' manuals only) where capable and possible.
Basic machine software training on known current software for machine hydraulics, hydrostatic systems, and
programming (As per OEM Guidelines) where capable and possible.
Proofreading and editing technical information.
Engine mechanical and electrical operation (Basic and advanced)
Drivetrain operation (basic and advanced)
Hydraulic systems (Basic and advanced)
Advanced diagnostics for engine, drivetrain, hydraulics, and electronics
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL TRAINING
Development of new Manitou training material as required, with 2 weeks' prior notice.
Create, develop, and research current and new information. (Only on receiving OEM Training)
Create presentations for each module (Introduction, Technical overview, Maintenance, Hydraulics, Electrical,
o and additional media information).
Translate and improve information as received from MBF, MBI, and Alfresco if capable and possible.
Obtain information from trainers in MBF.
Translate technical material and information if capable and possible.
WHERE CAPABLE AND POSSIBLE, ASSIST WITH TECHNICAL SUPPORT (NOT STANDARD JOB DESCRIPTION)
Edit and correct OEM repair manuals (drawings, information, loss in translation, and incomplete information).
