Position Overview: The company isseeking a highly skilled Injection Moulding Supervisor / Technical Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in advanced settings for large mould injection moulding machines and the ability to manage a team of Setters effectively. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain comprehensive administrative records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Setting: Perform advanced setting of large mould injection moulding machines to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality.
- Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of Setters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to production standards.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to moulds and machines.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address problems and faults in moulds and machines, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Technical Drawings: Read and interpret technical drawings related to moulds and machines to ensure accurate setting and maintenance.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed administrative records on all moulds and machines, including maintenance schedules, performance metrics, and any issues encountered.
- Operational Support: Work on a day shift schedule with standby duties as required to support continuous production.
- Vehicle Requirement: Must have own car for commuting and potential site visits.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Advanced setting experience with large mould injection moulding machines.
- Proven experience working through the ranks in an injection moulding environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic electrical knowledge related to moulds and injection moulding machines.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities on moulds and machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Administrative Skills:
- Strong record-keeping and administrative abilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of machine performance, maintenance, and issues.
- Personal Attributes:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Diligently facilitate the handling of all processes involved in crop fields and keep adequate record and good control of consumable items utilized.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of staff and management of production in the crop section of the farm.
- Implement plans for practical sessions for Undergraduate students and staff.
- Implement plans for research activities for staff and students.
- Engage in community outreach activities.
- A Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF level 6) in Farm Management/ Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Crop Science.
- Professional membership with SACNASP.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ technical supervisory experience in the Agronomy field, orchard, greenhouses and management.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ farm management experience.
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
