The Business: Effer Ventures is an operationally-heavy investment business. The group is currently focused on rolling up staffing and recruitment businesses in the UK as well as a leading Employer of Record and recruitment business in South Africa. The model is to drive digitalisation and operational efficiency across the business, leading to an economies-of-scale-driven growth for each of the operating companies. We are looking to grow and scale both organically within these operating companies and through further acquisitions. The Role: This role is focused on driving organic growth and improving website performance through advanced technical SEO, strategic content optimisation and data-driven conversion rate optimisation (CRO). You will be responsible for conducting technical audits, resolving on-site SEO issues, managing key SEO tools and plugins (especially within Word Press) and improving site speed and user experience. You'll also lead keyword strategy, optimise existing content and support CRO efforts through behavioural analysis and A/B testing. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in SEO and web development, a proactive mindset and a passion for continual improvement across technical and content-focused initiatives. The responsibilities of this role include: Content Optimisation & Keyword Strategy Conduct keyword research aligned with business goals and user intent. Provide prioritised keyword lists and ensure all content is fully optimised. Audit existing content for SEO performance and implement on-page improvements (e.g., titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking). Maintain a content roadmap balancing new content creation with the optimisation of existing assets. Technical SEO & Site Health Conduct regular technical SEO audits focusing on crawlability, indexation, site speed, and mobile usability. Address and resolve issues related to Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, broken links, redirects, and canonicalization. Manage and optimise XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, hreflang tags, and schema markup. Implement and configure SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast, Rank Math), caching solutions, and CDN setups on Word Press. Troubleshoot PHP, HTML, and Java Script issues affecting SEO performance. Site Performance & Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Analyse user behaviour using tools like GA4, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity to identify friction points in the conversion funnel. Conduct or support A/B testing initiatives tied to SEO traffic and on-site conversion improvements (e.g., CTA wording, page layout). Monitor key on-page engagement metrics (bounce rate, time on page, conversion rate) and suggest iterative site improvements. Optimise site architecture and mobile design to enhance user experience and support SEO best practices. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on SEO experience, with at least 1 year focused on technical SEO for Word Press sites. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as site speed, crawl errors, and Core Web Vitals. Proficient in using SEO and analytics tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc. Skilled in implementing tracking, managing SEO metrics and creating detailed monthly and quarterly reports. Experience in conversion rate optimisation, including A/B testing, funnel analysis, and UX best practices. Ability to read and debug HTML, CSS, Java Script, and PHP for SEO fixes. Skills and Characteristics Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical findings into actionable recommendations. Proactive and adaptable: keeps up to date with algorithm changes and adjusts strategy accordingly. Highly organised with a focus on roadmapping and executing technical, content, and CRO initiatives. Preferred skills include: Experience with advanced schema (e.g., FAQ, How To). Familiarity with CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare) and caching tools (e.g., WP Rocket). Understanding of international SEO and multi-region setups. Basic knowledge of server-side SEO (Nginx/Apache). Exposure to additional CMS platforms (e.g., Shopify, Drupal). Job Description:

As a Digital Marketing Specialist & Social Media Manager at Born and Bred, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing digital marketing strategies while creating engaging content that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and measurable business outcomes. Working closely with our creative team, you will translate client briefs and marketing strategies into engaging Digital strategic concepts that resonate with our clients' target audiences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies tailored to client objectives, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and other online campaigns.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Design and execute campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, using analytics to optimize strategies and meet KPIs.
  • Conceptualize, create, and curate high-quality, on-brand digital content, including blogs, social media posts, graphics, videos, and email newsletters.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to produce compelling visuals & copy that complement content and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate with account managers and creative teams to ensure alignment with overall client objectives
  • Plan and manage content calendars, ensuring timely delivery of engaging content that aligns with campaign goals and client expectations.
  • Leverage storytelling techniques to develop content that resonates with target audiences and builds brand loyalty.

3. Campaign Management and Optimization:

  • Plan, launch, and manage digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social, search, display, etc.).
  • Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
  • Oversee social media accounts, including scheduling, publishing, and engaging with audiences to foster community growth.
  • Conduct A/B testing to refine ad creatives, landing pages, and email campaigns for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between campaigns, client objectives, and overall strategy.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust tactics to improve results.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and within budget while meeting client expectations.

4.Analytics and Reporting:

  • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot) to track, measure, and report on the performance of campaigns and content.
  • Prepare detailed reports with actionable insights for clients and stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Continuously monitor key metrics such as traffic, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI to inform decision-making.

5. Emerging Trends and Technologies:

  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Experiment with new tools, platforms, and techniques to ensure campaigns remain cutting-edge and effective.
  • Share industry insights and recommendations with the team to maintain a competitive edge

6. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Paid Advertising (PPC)

  • Implement SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings and client website traffic.
  • Manage pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads.
  • Conduct keyword research and audience targeting to optimize campaign performance.
  • Analyze ad performance data and adjust campaigns to improve ROI and meet client KPIs.

7. Client Collaboration and Support:

  • Act as a digital marketing expert, advising clients on strategies and best practices.
  • Attend client meetings to present campaign plans, updates, and performance reports.
  • Build strong client relationships by delivering exceptional results and demonstrating expertise.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with creative, copywriting, design, and account management teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
  • Align digital efforts with broader advertising strategies to maintain consistency and impact.

9. Project Management and Execution:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management.
  • 5 years of experience within this role.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/Social media, etc.) and market research methods
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite and CRM), and applications (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of top social media platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Familiarity with different types of social media content
  • Ability to create targeted audiences and conduct A/B testing
  • Proficient with social media management tools, such as reposting apps and scheduling utilities
  • Excellent creative thinking, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The Digital Marketing Specialist responsible for all digital marketing campaigns, including generating leads, conducting market research and actively engaging with the business to optimize the performance of our digital strategies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing backlink campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, backlink tools, and SEO best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and SEO reporting.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other relevant platforms.

Responsibilities
