To maintain and grow market share within the food industry / food factories (industrial) client base in the designated area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned. The key responsibilities include the following:
Sales & Marketing- Increase sales and market share by actively acquiring new customers and expanding the client base;
- Replace equipment older than 5 years;
- Advise clients on and sell new value-adding products to enhance their businesses.
- Obtain planned rollouts for the year from clients in the region, and target new developments through meetings, visits, and cold calling for marketing and sales purposes.
- Hand over customers in other provinces/regions to relevant branch managers, follow up to ensure deals are closed, and monitor progress.
- Negotiate pricing with clients within established parameters.
- Ensure service delivery to new clients and that installations are completed effectively according to the Installations Checklist.
- Verify correct invoicing from sales orders, and ensure invoices and checklists are faxed to relevant branches.
- Obtain signed confirmation from technicians and customer representatives that installations are successfully completed.
- Maintain good relations with existing clients by visiting or calling at least every second month.
- Ensure client satisfaction with services provided and report issues to relevant branches.
- Meet with the Sales Director and/or Branch Manager twice a month to review customer accounts, rollout status, and outstanding payments.
- Provide formal written reports updating meeting minutes and weekly activity summaries.
- Participate in monthly strategy meetings regarding new product launches and exhibitions.
- Arrange meetings between customers and international suppliers as needed.
- Contribute to annual and ad hoc budget planning by providing relevant input to the Sales Director, Branch Manager, and Finance Department.
