Your day at NTT DATA
The Technical Writer is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for writing medium to complex company documents such as instruction manuals, intermediate to end-user manuals, reference guides, operating procedure guides, white papers, and specialized product descriptions. This role is responsible for writing complex ideas in simple ways. This role is responsible for doing research, creating, writing and editing content.

Key responsibilities:

• Creates clear and concise material, taking care of editing and proofreading tasks.
• Updates and maintains a library of service catalogues and associated documents such as RACI's.
• Revises or rewrites existing technical documentation.
• Conducts research and gathers information and study target audiences.
• Tests whether users understand newly developed material.
• Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the subject is understood.
• Works closely with printers, illustrators, graphic designers, translators and other relevant professionals.
• Stays up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry.
• Compiles information by order of usability.
• Organizes all documents into the database and make copies for data security.
• Performs any other related task as required.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

Client is based in the North of Johannesburg, in the Mining / Manufacturing sector. Our client leads the field in providing bulk material handling equipment to the mining sector. About the role:

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between manufacturing / technology and customers. You will be responsible for understanding and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to potential clients, showcasing product features and benefits, and guiding customers through the sales process. Your goal is to drive sales and foster long-term customer relationships.

Requirements:

• Minimum off 4 years Field service mechanic experience with substantial troubleshooting exposure.
• Experienced trouble shooting and problem-solving skills on Earthmoving Equipment Machines.
• Well imbedded machine specific technical knowledge and skills.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good technical report writing skills.
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Computer literate and good business writing knowledge.
• Good and experiences on Caterpillar machine and product knowledge.
