Job Purpose:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be the design authority responsible for the functional and operational
performance of key systems across their full lifecycle. This includes system definition, architecture,
technical leadership, integration, verification, and validation. You will also provide technical
management support to project teams, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder
engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer, Electronic, or Mechatronics preferred)
Experience in applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies on large
projects is highly advantageous
Level of experience may vary depending on seniority required
PMP, PRINCE2, or related certifications would be a plus
Familiarity with defence and military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.)
Key Technical Skills
Strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and multidisciplinary engineering design principles

System Definition & Design
Define system architecture, technical specifications, and configuration items
Drive the requirements engineering process and manage baselines
Perform functional design, simulation, prototyping, and trade-off studies
Develop interface documents, specification hierarchies, and reliability programmes
System Verification & Validation
Plan and oversee system integration and performance testing
Coordinate with clients on acceptance testing and ensure compliance with system
specifications
Maintain validation traceability and documentation
Technical & Project Management Support
Support Project Managers in defining WBS, technical plans, and internal work contracting
Serve as the technical lead during integration and provide guidance to engineering teams
Identify, manage, and mitigate technical and project risks
Act as the technical interface with customers and external suppliers
Quality & Configuration Management
Serve as "Owner" of system requirements and system data packs
Manage change control, baseline integrity, and system safety documentation
Facilitate internal audits and ensure alignment with configuration management protocols

What you will do:
Working in a customer-facing capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer’s day to day tasks will vary, including problem analysis, monitoring of logs, backups, patch management, project management, systems design and implementation, as well as overseeing and participating in the support of existing systems. Requirements:
• Diploma/Bachelors in IT
• HP Professional Certifications are a key requirement: ideally HPE ASE (Storage), ATP or similar. Additional certifications from Microsoft, Cisco or other relevant vendors would be an added advantage. i.e. CCNA, MCSE, MCITP, MCSA, HP, VMWare, Veeam
• In depth experience with HPE Servers and Storage products including ProLiant, Alpha, Hyper Converged Infrastructure and Storage Works.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting on-prem Client/Server environments as well as cloud solutions such as Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud Computing, SQL Server, and SharePoint.
