Role Overview

As a Technical Consultant, you will be crucial in the execution of implementations, by offering support throughout projects, including supporting client design sessions, and developing excellent user stories, whilst ensuring functional integrity of the ServiceNow platform and processes.  

You will support client engagements and work with your fellow team members throughout the project phases, in line with the commercial agreement for the implementation.  

You’ll collaborate with colleagues and clients to address issues and challenges and identify solutions.  

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Bringing knowledge in one or more products of the platform (understanding of ITSM, IRM, TPRM and or HRSD would be beneficial).
• Supporting customer workshops and running project demonstrations, using the ServiceNow platform.
• Developing customer requirements (user stories), which may include scripting and configuration in different areas of the platform.
• Identifying potential wider impacts of the customer solution on other areas of the platform.
• Communicating effectively with both client teams and internal teams and supporting management of key stakeholder relationships.

The Technical Consultant is a billable role and is responsible for delivery of Sage 300 People and Premier application assistance according to best practices to support complex presales, implementations, and support escalations.

The Consultant works with Project Managers, Payroll & HR Consultants, Reporting & Integration Specialists, Sales, as well as customer project and IT teams to provide the best solutions, within scope and budget. They act both as solution and technical levels to define solutions and ensure the best design and quality standards are applied on implementations. More specifically, the Technical Consultant is responsible for the appropriate design, setup, configuration, customisation, testing, delivery, documentation, and transition to support of the solution customers – including technical and security reviews. They lead and/or participate in design sessions and workshops, in all relevant project meetings and in any knowledge transfer with various other project stakeholders, internal and external.

The Technical Consultant will mentor other consultants and assist with training internally as well as customer training. They are also involved in pre-sales to produce feasibility assessments and estimates to meet customer requirements. They proactively position value added services with the customers throughout the sales and implementation processes.

The Temenos Technical Consultant will play an active role in the Temenos technical team within the Banking competency. They will be responsible for the delivery of Temenos banking related projects. This includes pre-sales activities of opportunity identification, pre-sales presentation and contribution to proposal writing and submission. They will be responsible for the quality delivery & implementation of the required solution. They will follow project standards within established timeframes and at defined quality levels, and ensure projects are completed according to schedule and client specifications. This position is client-facing and requires travel to the client site as the project warrants. The work performed is typically moderately complex.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Your deliverables as a Temenos Technical Consultant will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing Temenos technical expertise to internal stakeholders (Transact and/or Infinity)
• Training and mentorship of junior resources.
• Maintain, enhance, and broaden knowledge and skills of Temenos applications, industry best practices and developments.
• Interact with clients, consultatively, to determine project requirements and needs analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for clients in accordance with pre-defined standards and procedures.
• Liaise with the Lead Technical Consultant and related Functional Consultants to understand the full solution required and proceed with the technical implementation accordingly.
• Assess and report risks during project and participate in the development and implementation of mitigation plans where relevant
• Communicate project status, and risks to relevant team management
• Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project related activities.
• Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards.
• Complete post-implementation tasks in a timely manner.
• Update internal documentation as applicable.

Required Experience:

• Minimum Honours degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking domain, with specific experience in the Temenos software suite (Transact and/or Infinity)
• Proven industry relevant track record of in-depth knowledge of Temenos technical capabilities, implementations, associated standards, practices and regulations
• Client facing service experience required. Engagement across stakeholders and ability to run information gathering and sharing sessions
• Experience with various project management disciplines preferred
• Experience with Core Banking Transformation programs at various levels

Skills:
