The role
This role will join our technical presales team to deliver presales technical solutions and designs to Ekco customers, in line with the overall Ekco strategy. This is a technical role which will join the wider Ekco Consultancy Service team.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to articulate, and be in a position to demonstrate, with absolute confidence, technology solutions and services in line with the Ekco technology stack and service catalogue.
Key Responsibilities
•The ideal candidate must be from a technical “hands on” background with project delivery experience, ideally to technical architect level.
• The ideal candidate must be able align technology solutions and designs in line with customer requirements, while articulating the business value of Ekco.
• Ensure that the technology strategy is reflected in the solutions, technologies and designs presented to our customer base.
• Present to customers from different backgrounds on solution to business challenges that will improve their business in tangible way.
• Provide clear and professional presales documentation using standard templates.
• Ability to lead a team in the delivery of a solution based response e.g. tenders.
• Adhering to professional standards in service performance and quality in all areas of the role.
• Responsibility for adherence to the presales process promoting user awareness of the process.
• Manage effective handover of the solution scope and designs to the Ekco Project Delivery Teams.
• Conduct routine updates/training sessions on the new products/ technologies and upgrades available to the internal sales staff.
• Forward looking to ensure Ekco are ahead of the curve in providing new innovative services and solutions to our customer. Ability to present and sell these opportunities internally.
Key Requirements
• Presentation-ready knowledge and product expertise on key technologies and services.
• Excellent Technical knowledge in Cloud Architecture, Network infrastructure, Windows Server and Security solutions.
• Experience in preparing business solution proposals and presentation of such presentations to senior executives.
• The ability to react well to pressure in a fast-paced environment is going to be essential.
• Demonstrate successful delivery of multiple technical projects.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to assist translation of complex technical subjects for sometimes non-technical audiences.
• Must have full driving licence and be willing to travel to Ekco and client locations as required to complete project requirements
• Comfortable switching and adapting to changing priorities
• Ability to approach, own and solve problems independently as well as part of a team
• Typically, this level resource should have over seven years of experience or more working within the IT Services Industry.
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Effective communicator with a positive and confident attitude both written and verbally.
• Good written skills with capability to create well formatted reports.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field is preferred (but not mandatory).
• In depth Knowledge of our Microsoft cloud platforms e.g. Azure, EM+S, 0365
• In depth knowledge of technical solutions e.g. MS Defender, Windows Server, VMWare & Veeam.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the IT industry.
• Strong technical “hands on” background.
• Strong leadership and customer service qualities
• Ability to communicate effectively and with authority on technology solutions and services to both technical and business audience.
• Subject areas expert in Ekco technology strategy and services.
• Can demonstrate consistency in their work attitude.
• Accountability for presales and project output and quality standards achieved.
• Commercial awareness on all presales delivery.
• Ability to build relationships with key service stakeholders.

A Day in the Life
This is an exciting opportunity where, as a Technical Consultant, you will be driving Cardiac Rhythm and Ablation Solutions Therapies. Key part of this role will be to accelerate the adoption of these innovative therapies. For this position, you are expected to be in Johannesburg or Pretoria, South Africa.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Achieve sales revenue and market share targets for a specified region by supporting EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases including programming & follow up, loading and giving technical consultancy in CathLab.
- Conduct on-site education and consulting, and support establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations in the name of Medtronic.
- Provide technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions and customers through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
- Support sales & marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team.
- Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
- Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
- Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
- Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry.
- All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
- Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
- Travel requirement 50% of the time (this includes regionally and nationally if needed).
- Bachelor’s degree of Health Science in Clinical Technology.
- 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry and/or working in hospital environment, technical consultant experience for EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases are highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy.
- Familiarity with CathLab environment: Sterilization and radiation protocols.
- Flexibility, dedication, hands-on working approach with ability to present technical know-how.
- English knowledge (B2 and above).
- Crice certification will be transferred if completed, if not it will be provided.

As a Technical Consultant, you will be crucial in the execution of implementations, by offering support throughout projects, including supporting client design sessions, and developing excellent user stories, whilst ensuring functional integrity of the ServiceNow platform and processes. Â

**A Day in the Life**
This is an exciting opportunity where, as a Technical Consultant, you will be driving Cardiac Rhythm and Ablation Solutions Therapies. Key part of this role will be to accelerate the adoption of these innovative therapies. For this position, you are expected to be in Johannesburg or Pretoria, South Africa.

**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Achieve sales revenue and market share targets for a specified region by supporting EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases including programming & follow up, loading and giving technical consultancy in CathLab.
+ Conduct on-site education and consulting, and support establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations in the name of Medtronic.
+ Provide technical expertise to sales representatives, other sales functions and customers through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
+ Support sales & marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team.
+ Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
+ Monitor field inventory effectively to ensure appropriate levels of inventory in each location relative to demand.
+ Complete cycle counts of all required field locations on time and follow up on any missing stock.
+ Retrieve all expiring product from field locations and return to the warehouse prior to expiry.
+ All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
+ Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
+ Travel requirement 50% of the time (this includes regionally and nationally if needed).
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree of Health Science in Clinical Technology.
+ 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry and/or working in hospital environment, technical consultant experience for EPS, Cryo & RF Ablation, Pacemaker & ICD implantation cases are highly preferred.
+ Solid understanding of cardiovascular anatomy.
+ Familiarity with CathLab environment: Sterilization and radiation protocols.
+ Flexibility, dedication, hands-on working approach with ability to present technical know-how.
+ English knowledge (B2 and above).
+ Crice certification will be transferred if completed, if not it will be provided.
Any experience as CathLab Technician is highly preferred in this role.

The Technical Consultant is a billable role and is responsible for delivery of Sage 300 People and Premier application assistance according to best practices to support complex presales, implementations, and support escalations.
The Consultant works with Project Managers, Payroll & HR Consultants, Reporting & Integration Specialists, Sales, as well as customer project and IT teams to provide the best solutions, within scope and budget. They act both as solution and technical levels to define solutions and ensure the best design and quality standards are applied on implementations.
