Responsibilities
- Monitor, interpret, and ensure the accurate and timely processing of corporate actions
- Verify correct corporate action processing, reconcile with JSE data, completion of all related reconciliations within specified timeframes
- Track elective event deadlines and ensure accurate, timely communication to portfolio managers and clients
- Ensure correct processing of income, including the application of withholding taxes and applicable rebates
- Preparation of tax reports and weekly schedules detailing all upcoming corporate actions.

Overview
The role is responsible for the tax and tax compliance throughout the group (including trusts), for annual financial statements for all companies and trusts, and monthly balance sheet recons and quality of all general ledgers.
Responsibilities- Calculation of provisional tax for all entities, as well as full year Income Tax calculations for all entities, including deferred tax.
- Ensure all queries and audits from SARS, for all tax types, are dealt with timeously and resolved.
- Maintain a tax compliance schedule for all companies and trusts in the group.
- Prepare the consolidation of CGH annually for audit.
- Prepare, or supervise the preparation of all Annual Financial Statements for the group, as well as the consolidated Annual Financial Statements.
- Prepare all reporting required by the CEO/COO and banks.
- Assist and check monthly balance sheet recons, journals as required.
- Assist with group wide tax planning, to ensure tax exposure is minimised, within the relevant tax laws.
- Assist the CFO on ad hoc tasks / projects.
- To ensure tax compliance throughout the group for all entities.
- To ensure that the Annual Financial Statements are drafted to the highest standard and signed timeously.
- Accurate and timely information for the banks and CEO/COO as requested.
- To make daily decisions that aligns with the long-term goal of the company and department.

The role has a dual focus and is responsible for trust tax and related tax compliance support, as well as individual tax compliance for individual taxpayers who are investment clients of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a client‑facing tax practice with a minimum of 8+ years in this area.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities- Overall Tax and Accounting Services Compliance: review legislative changes and recommend changes in business operations, processes, and procedures for approval by Exco, RCC or the Executive Board.
- Manage key client allocations for a family group with complex tax matters.

- Completed accounting or auditing articles preferred.
- Computer literacy is essential, including advanced MS Excel and knowledge of relevant tax software/packages.
- Experience with bulk data uploads, data integrity controls and risk management with third parties.
- Fit and proper requirements, and professional credentials such as Registered Tax Advisor or Tax Practitioner in order.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
