Our client is an Independent Power Producer focused on renewable energy projects across Africa. They are seeking a proactive and efficient Talent Administrator to provide key administrative support to our talent acquisition process. This role is central to ensuring a smooth and positive experience for candidates recruiters and hiring managers. You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of recruitment activities managing processes with autonomy and upholding a high standard of professionalism throughout the hiring lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Recruitment Coordination: Drive the recruitment administration process from start to finish. This includes posting job advertisements conducting initial candidate screenings scheduling all interviews preparing necessary documentation for hiring teams and conducting reference checks.
- Onboarding & Systems Management: Ensure a seamless transition for new hires by coordinating all onboarding documentation and liaising with internal departments like IT. You will also be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of our applicant tracking system (ATS) and all employee records.
- General HC Administration: Provide broad administrative support to the Human Capital team including assisting with document audits compiling monthly reports processing invoices and scheduling key employee meetings such as probation discussions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for candidates and internal teams responding to queries promptly and professionally and assisting with the planning of recruitment events.
- A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a similar field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in an HR or recruitment-focused administrative role.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS or ATS systems (e.g. BambooHR Sage 300).
- Organisation: Exceptional organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and people-oriented approach.
- Proactivity: A team player who can also work independently take initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Legal Knowledge: A basic understanding of South African labour laws is beneficial.

IntroductionTo design, develop and deliver Talent Management, Performance Management, L&D & DEIB inclusive of Employment Equity architecture and best practice solutions which will enable delivery of JSE objectives in driving the HR strategy within the JSE.
Results Delivery
- Contribute to the overall HR business Strategy to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year
- Deliver on the Annual Talent Management Strategy to ensure success of JSE objectives.
- Manage the allocated budget for Talent, L and D and JEF Bursaries of about R28m (combined) within agreed parameters by tracking monthly.
- Plan and implement resources in a cost-effective manner while still meeting timelines and standards.
- Support and act as advisor to HR, employees and line management on all people development solutions to enable business performance.
- Design, conceptualise methodology, establish talent practices and provide guidance that enables identification, development and retention of required talent to enhance the JSE's competitiveness
- Build and maintain internal and external client relationships to meet business needs

- B Com Degree in HR/ Business Management or related qualification
- Honours Degree in HR/Business Management or related qualification
- Registration with SABPP and/or IPM would be advantageous
- 8 - 10 years of experience as a Head of Talent / HR / Learning and Development/ Employment Equity/Performance Management with proven exposure and experience at a senior level
- Human Resources: HR policies, systems (HRIS), job evaluation, remuneration, and performance management
- Business Communication: Client service, communication strategies, business writing and terminology
- Technical Proficiency: MS Office & standard software applications
- Analytics & Research: Salary benchmarking and research methodology
- Administration & Planning: Office procedures, resource/capacity planning, change management
