  • Ensure the day-to-day health, maintenance, and operational functionality of our BI tools, especially Qlik Sense

  • Deliver advanced development solutions : define, design, estimate, and implement technical work plans
  • Provide high-level expertise to drive BI strategy and integration across technical resources

TheSystems Analyst will be actas a bridge between business requirements and IT system design/implementation.This role requires extensive experience in both business processes and technical systems to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with business goals.
This is a hybrid role that requires 3-4 days onsite (Stellenbosch, Western Cape).

Key Responsibilities and/or output areas include, but are not limited to:

Advanced Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Lead the collection and documentation of business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.

Complex System Design and Development:
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specs.
Design and propose system solutions, including process models, specifications, and architecture and collaborate with developers on systems solutions.

Implementation and Quality Assurance:
Liaise with developers, vendors, and IT teams to ensure system designs are accurately implemented.
Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation and quality assurance.
Support the deployment and integration of new systems or enhancements.

Maintenance and Continuous Improvement:
Experience in providing expert-level support and maintenance for existing systems beneficial.
Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.
Implement updates and improvements to existing systems as needed.


Documentation and Training:
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process diagrams.
Conduct training sessions and provide advanced support to end-users and stakeholders on system functionalities and best practices.


Skills and Competencies:
• 5-8 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a related role

Technical Expertise:
• Deep understanding of system analysis and design methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with programming languages (Java) and system integration.
• Project experience in a cloud-based environment, specifically AWS.
• Modeling tools (UML, ERD), SQL, system diagramming tools, API documentation platforms
• Experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex systems and processes.
• Expertise in translating intricate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

Advanced Communication Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes.

Education Qualification:
• Matric.
• University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelors’ Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMP) are highly desirable.

  1. Matric, Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with above-average academic performance being an advantage.
  2. Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g. Systems Analysis, Business Analysis, etc.) is an advantage.
  3. Minimum of 5 years in application support or a similar technical support role.
  4. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with business applications such as ERP systems, CRM, POS, Payroll, Property Management systems, and/or other enterprise software solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Matric, Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with above-average academic performance being an advantage.
  2. Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g. Systems Analysis, Business Analysis, etc.) is an advantage.
  3. Minimum of 5 years in application support or a similar technical support role.
  4. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with business applications such as ERP systems, CRM, POS, Payroll, Property Management systems, and/or other enterprise software solutions.
  5. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in executing projects.
  6. Experience with Agile project methodologies (e.g. Scrum) would be an advantage.
  7. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing relational databases.
  8. Experience working with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL considered an advantage.
  9. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance of integration architectures such as APIs.
  10. Strong understanding of accounting practices and processes.
  11. Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  12. Familiarity with ITIL principles and incident management processes.

DUTIES

Your profile:

  • Degree / Diploma in Information Technology

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in SQL database design and SQL Sequel Reporting Services
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production related environment will be advantageous
  • IT System Development Life Cycle experience
  • Valid South African driver’s license
