* Leading and advising the technical team on the execution of the engineering Design, Assembly, Integration and Verification activities.
* Performing Engineering & Contract Management to deliver the companies contacts on time and on brief through thorough planning and diligent management.
* Managing technical risks through identifying, categorizing, monitoring and implementing mitigation actions.
* Converting stakeholder needs and requirements into physical engineered systems that perform according to expectations through functional & physical architecting, analysis and synthesis.
* Identifying, defining, implementing and verifying Interfaces and their associated ICDs.
* Ensuring the delivered systems meet the stakeholder's needs by maintaining traceability of requirements throughout the design evolution and managing baselines (DBL, QBL, PBL, OsBL) and the reviews thereof.
* Integrating and delivering systems with verified performance and quality through preparing & overseeing the execution of verification activities according to verification plans (ATPs/QTPs, ATRs/QTRs) and setting to work of the products and products systems.
* To ensure the delivered systems continue to operate and deliver the expected performance through root cause analysis and problem solving and managing the implementation of design modifications to eliminate failure modes.
* To ensure continued improvement in knowledge growth, retention and management by ensuring that project SEMPs, QAPs, ILSPs, technical schedules, WBS & SOWs are implemented and maintained and continuous mentoring & coaching of SE resources.
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
* B.Eng/B.Sc (Eng) (NQF 8) with 13+ years RELEVANT Experience; or
* M.Eng (NQF 9) with 10+ years RELEVANT Experience; or
* PhD/D.Eng (NQF 10) with 7+ years RELEVANT Experience.
* Meets the requirements for registration with ECSA as PrEng
Experience:
* Leading engineering teams, tasks and analysis while employing theoretical and practical knowledge gained on the job.
* Proven experience in physical, hands-on integration, testing and evaluation of complicated systems which include RF, digital, electronic and mechanical elements combined with fixed infrastructure.
* Leading the development and implementation of engineering processes.
* Using advanced interpersonal skills in order to influence change in complex systems behaviour and operational environments.
* Undertaking engineering activities throughout all lifecycle phases of systems under development, with particular focus on the concurrent engineering aspects and the design for supportability aspects.
* Functioning simultaneously across multiple domains, teams and on multiple systems.
* Coaching and mentoring in engineering, particularly systems engineering.
Knowledge:
* Internationally recognized for advanced applied Systems Engineering.
* Assembly, integration, test and verification of complex systems.
* Baseline establishment and management.
* Engineering change control.
* Hi-tech product development.
* Model-based Systems Engineering
* Development of Systems Engineering processes and procedures.
* Configuration management of systems under development, in production and in service.
Additional Notes:
* Candidates with experience in engineering for radio astronomy or space applications are preferred.
* Candidates who also have operational support / field engineering experience will have an advantage.

As the Head of Engineering at Keyrock, you will be responsible for leading our engineering team in the development and maintenance of our trading systems for the core Market Making Services team. Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Drive the design, development, and maintenance of high-concurrency, high-performance trading systems.
- Collaborate closely with product management to align engineering efforts with product goals and roadmap.
- Implement and enforce best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing methodologies, and deployment strategies.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems by implementing robust architectures and engineering practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

- Collaborate with System Architect and other Engineering managers to align with our company-wide technical strategy.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field experience.

- Strong proficiency in development and architecture of Rust systems. Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Python are nice to have.
- Proficient in data-intensive systems.
- Proven experience with AWS, Docker
- Experience managing and leading engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Extensive expertise in finance and trading within the cryptocurrency sector.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within the financial industry is a plus.

We’re a 40+ multi-disciplinary team of designers, researchers and creatives passionate about crafting the experiences and touch-points that help Remote scale successfully and help customers attract, hire, manage and pay anyone, anywhere
As Staff Product Designer, Design System you’ll lead a newly-formed, cross-functional squad dedicated to evolving, implementing and scaling our design system, Norma. You will be responsible for developing the tools, components, documentation, materials and ways of working that enable designers and engineers to create our world-class experiences - and will be required to advocate and collaborate with product designers, engineers, product managers and stakeholders worldwide to help drive adoption our design system.
What You Bring
- An individual contributor designer who has exemplary experience designing, implementing and evolving a maturing design system - including the tooling, documentation and strategies required to scale effectively.
- An impressive portfolio of both product design and design systems work, including evidence that showcases both an ability to think in scalable systems, and a solid understanding of key visual and interaction design fundamentals.
- You champion the importance of consistency and the impact of building things systematically, but also understand when/where it is necessary to flex or evolve a design system.
- Masterful communication skills that help you build strong narratives around your design work, provide direction and guidance to others, as well as collaborate effectively with peers and stakeholders - with fluent written and spoken English.
- You are comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with a work history that demonstrates your expert ability to autonomously take ownership of design for complex domains and multiple projects with overlapping organisational lines.
- Strong evidence that you are an effective cross-functional collaborator with your product and engineering counterparts and are able to work effectively to build consensus and resolve debates and drive the business towards impactful outcomes.

- Lead the maintenance, governance and evolution our design system by embedding yourself throughout the organisation and participating in team critiques and discussions.
- Develop the necessary materials and lead internal initiatives that help educate the organisation, drive adoption and improve alignment with the design system.
- Create the required strategies and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, governance and scaling our design system effectively with your engineering counterparts.
- Improve existing design systems components, while also working with the wider design organisation to evolve our visual design language.
- Drive yourself and your peers to deliver the best quality of work, pixel-perfect in every way while embracing and encouraging new methods and ways of working.
- Support the organisation on a daily basis through async troubleshooting and collaboration.

The base salary range for this full-time position is between USD 71,700 to USD 201,700. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location and titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferrable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
