We are looking for an experienced manager, specifically with a strong and proven record focus on ESG Due Diligences.

This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced manager to build the business, train the team, manage sustainability projects and extend their expertise to our broader offering.

Candidate requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant sustainability consulting experience
• University Degree with a relevant environment, social science or sustainability-related major
• Professional certifications in sustainable finance and or climate risk are considered as an asset (e.g., SCR, CCI, ESG Investing)
• Knowledge of the universal frameworks on sustainability and integrated reporting frameworks and standards highly advantageous
• Confidently hold C-Level client engagements
• Commercially focused and adept in applying your sustainability knowledge to differing client situations.
• Good business developer with a good network within the ESG value chain
• Ambition to grow withing Forvis Mazars and participate in working groups

Essential competencies:

• Self-Starter and pragmatic leader
• Project management and time management skills.
• Emotional intelligence is key.

Job Description

Opportunity to drive sustainability awareness, actions, and results in a prominent DFI. Translate the sustainability framework into action, coordinate and deliver targeted sustainability programmes, products, and services. Build internal capability and embed sustainability across the organisation.

Requirements:

Main Purpose of Job:

Support the Partner in delivery and management of external sustainability assurance and reporting engagements to / at client premises in accordance with the firm’s methodologies and practices through building client relationships and effective team management.

Support the business area leadership in the execution of the sustainability assurance and reporting strategy through identification of leads, preparation and presentation of proposals and other related business development matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification (relevant to Service Area)
• Courses/ Electives covering technical knowledge and elements of sustainability and related reporting frameworks.
• 1+ years project management experience
• Minimum of 6years work experience
• If CA/IA qualified minimum 2 years post articles experience within sustainability assurance & advisory
• If Chem engineer/Environ Science/ Social Science qualification -minimum of 4 years experience in Sustainability assurance/ reporting
• Proficient in MS Office suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Able to understand and articulate ESG and sustainability and how integrate into broader business, operations and decision making
• Familiarity and experience with ESG reporting frameworks
• Experience in conducting ESG assurance engagement
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Proficient verbal and written skills
• Technical knowledge in specific areas of ESG and sustainability

Maintain and improve integrated Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability (HSES) practices

Identify and evaluate climate-related risks and opportunities

Promote and implement circular economy principles across the value chain, including initiatives for waste minimisation, energy and water efficiency, responsible sourcing, and sustainable material use

Stay informed and advise on relevant regulations and ESG developments

Foster a practical culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility

Support operational leaders and teams to manage HSES responsibility

Assist with budgeting for health, safety, environment and sustainability

Coordinate internal and external engagement on sustainability progress

Community Development and Social Impact

Implement and maintain digital ESG platforms and data tools to streamline sustainability data collection, tracking, and reporting

Lead and manage people to achieve performance objectives

Desired Experience & Qualification
