8. Participate in agency risk management program related to resident care.

10. Perform timely, accurate and complete documentation for all care delivered on the assigned shift in accordance with legislation, regulations and internal requirements.

Qualifications

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
3. Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
4. Must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Successful completion of a Ministry of Education approved PSW Training Program (minimum 640 hours) from a Community College or a school approved by the National Association of Career Colleges OR
2. RN, RPN, Paramedic, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy students with successful completion of Year 1.
5. Experience working as a Facility PSW is considered an asset.
6. Negative T.B. skin test or chest x-ray.
7. Current CPR (BCLS) and First Aid Certificate.
8. Meet health surveillance requirements of the Public Hospitals Act.
9. Valid Criminal Record Check confirming absence of a criminal history/record.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Recovery Support Worker within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service at Osprey House.

This post involves developing an assertive outreach model and supporting individuals in recovery to achieve their recovery goals.

Previous experience with the client group is preferable but not essential.

The role is based at Osprey House, with opportunities to work across other teams in the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service and in the community supporting clients.
