The position reports to the Engineering Manager (Fulfillment Operations)
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Root cause analysis of operational issues.
- Able to independently troubleshoot issues within the team's system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operations reports as a result of collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Identify cost-saving areas and system inefficiencies.
- Identify and action trends within the system.
- Work with all levels within the business unit to resolve issues.
- Prepare end-users to utilise the system by conducting training.
- Provides reference for end-users by contributing to documentation
- Maintains systems by researching and resolving problems and maintaining system integrity.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying abreast of the latest industry trends and reviewing professional publications.
- Participates in the communication plans and strategies that drive acceptance, speed of adoption, and a platform for expansion into new ideas.
- Participate in long-term and short-term data analysis, focusing on increasing productivity, lowering fixed and variable costs, and improving customer experience.
- Measure and report results regularly and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Assists more senior operational analysts with investigations
- Mentor other operational analysts
- Participates in the hiring of other operational analysts
- Successfully contributed to the design, development, and deployment of operational aspects of various software projects
- Being able to read and debug code written in more than one programming language is advantageous

Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related field, and a minimum of 3 years of operational support experience in a software/technology environment is required.
- If you do not have a bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or any related field, an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 5 years of operational support experience in a software technology environment.
- Good database knowledge, including the ability to write and optimise complex queries.
- SQL Scripting experience.
- In-depth understanding of best practices relating to system support and monitoring
- Understanding and experience in one of the following will be beneficial: Supply Chain & Logistics, Machine learning, Web development, IaaS, PaaS
- Prior experience within an e-commerce company will be beneficial

Duties :
