We are hiring for our Kyriba team a Sales Manager, a highly skilled sales executive who will manage the entire new business process, from prospecting the market to closing deals.
The Sales Manager is assigned to manage the Sub-Saharan Africa territory, with a main focus on South Africa, develop and market Kyriba’s solutions in order to secure new subscription business for our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Own and lead the assigned sales territory.
- Grow Kyriba’s market share by adding new logos to our book-of-business.
- Build, nurture and execute a sales pipeline, in order to drive our deals within region.
- Own the entire sales process from market prospecting to deal closing.
- Coordinate and lead Kyriba’s responses to prospects demands, RFIs/RFPs and/or pricing requests.
- Collaborate with other Kyriba teams - Presales, BDR, marketing and channels - to reach the market in an optimal way and sell Kyriba’s products.
- Make sure opportunities, pipeline and forecast are accurately reflected and maintained in Salesforce.
- Attend conferences and industry related events within assigned territory and as requested. Travel within the territory when required.
Position Requirements
- 10+ years of proven, verifiable track record of selling technology solutions in the large and medium enterprises space.
- Understand the buying process in large enterprises, and how to navigate the decision maker network to close deals.
- Strength in strategic, conceptual, and consultative selling.
- Experience using CRM sales applications, such as Salesforce.com.
- Possess excellent negotiating and professional networking skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Administration, Economics, IT, Finance or an MBA
Experience
- Experience in selling treasury and finance SaaS solutions.
- Experience in selling technology directly to Treasury Managers and/or to CFOs.
- Sales experience with global Fintechs, global ERP vendors (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.).
- Experience in selling bank solutions (cash management, treasury management) to treasurers of large and medium enterprises.

The Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Country Risk team is a dynamic group of six analysts responsible for producing ten-year forecasts across all 49 markets in the region. Our work blends rigorous macro-political analysis with sharp regional insight. Alongside regular written commentary, we engage directly with diverse clients, offering tailored briefings and presentations on everything from long-term growth and fiscal trajectories to topical issues like foreign exchange shortages in Nigeria or security risks in Ethiopia’s gold mining regions.
How You’ll Make an Impact :
You will :
- Work as part of the Sub-Saharan Africa country risk team, providing regular economic, political risk and financial market analysis and forecasts for a portfolio of countries.
- Write research notes on a daily basis, as well as contributing to monthly and quarterly analysis, producing both country-specific and thematic regional research including economic growth, fiscal & monetary policy, trade, debt dynamics, political risk, financial markets and demographics.
- Work on maintaining and further developing proprietary data sets that add analytical value.
- Work with sales and clients to represent the team and deliver key views and forecasts in a concise and articulate manner during client engagements as well as at industry events.

The Regional Account Manager will be in the frontline, working with customers, Barrett and Motorola Solutions colleagues and will be a focal point in driving new business initiatives across the region and closing profitable customer contracts.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage all sales activities in Sub-Saharan Africa related to Barrett Communications sales opportunities to generate order intake and profitable revenue streams.
- Develop a Sales Business Plan on a regional/ per account basis to meet sales goals and targets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, and internal relationships across Barrett and Motorola and channel partners.
- Proactively support the Barrett and Motorola account teams in progressing and closing sales opportunities.
- Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales, and identify new business opportunities.
- Analyse customer needs and team with sales, service, project engineers, program managers to develop technical solutions that meet Motorola’s strategic goals in terms of accounts.
- Act as Trusted Advisor partner within Sales channel and to End Customers.
- Learn and understand the technologies and functionality of existing products and configurations.
- Analyse competitive products and make recommendations for changes in designs to develop competitive advantage.
- Prepare practical demos for specific technologies for customer including the design, implementation, and effective presentation with the assistance of support team where required.
- Assist in the preparation of point-to-point answers to bids, risk assessments and technical descriptions for customers.
- Follow company bid and quote process procedures and audit requirements.
- Preparation of proposals and bids within the expected timeframes.
Autonomy: Energetic and self-motivated, works under normal supervision with a high level of independence. Follows Established Direction. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
Knowledge: Solid Knowledge about HF products and solutions, knowledge of industry general practices, techniques, and standards. Highly desirable previous knowledge/exposure to telecommunication projects.
Problem solving: Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situation or data requires reviewing identifiable factors. Identify his scope of solutions ability and escalate both on time and to the appropriate level when necessary.
Basic Requirements
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of sales or business development experience in radio communications, defense, security, or mission-critical technologies.
- Proven success in public sector, military, or NGO sales across SSA.
- Strong existing relationships with Ministries of Defense, Interior, national police, UN/peacekeeping missions, or government procurement bodies in key markets
- Past experience with dealer/distributor model management is a must.
- Strong understanding of HF/VHF/UHF tactical communication systems and Barrett’s product portfolio.
- Ability to support product demonstrations, field trials, and tender technical clarifications.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50–60% of the time across Africa, might need to travel to Asia from time to time for management discussion
- Ability to build and manage a multi-country dealer/partner network.
- Skilled in forecasting, pipeline management, and bid/tender response processes.
- Comfortable negotiating with both government end users and commercial system integrators.
- Experience in managing export-controlled goods and compliance protocols is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; French or Portuguese is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or International Relations.
- Military service or defense contractor background is a strong advantage.

About you
You are a technical specialist with experience in the industry and have a sound and broad expertise in the application of refractory products, preferably in cement, glass, nonferrous or petrochemical industry. Your excellent cooperation and communication skills make it easy to act as an interface between RHI Magnesita and its customers. As a Technical Expert at RHI Magnesita you will work hand in hand with the departments Sales, Engineering and R&D as well as our production plants and pursue the common goal of ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty
In addition, you have:
- At least 10 years of professional experience in technical Marketing of refractories and/ or in the application of refractories in the industrial environment.
- Experience in quality management systems would be a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, ceramic engineering, materials engineering or metallurgical engineering).
- Good MS office skills.
- Should be proficient in English. Knowledge of French would be considered a differential.
- Distinctive problem-solving competence, strong customer orientation.
- Willingness to travel extensively, 40% of worktime would be used for visiting customers.
About the job
The main purpose of this job is to spearhead technical marketing of RHI Magnesita products in the respective region by defining aggregate wise product strategies and implement target actions within agreed time frame to improve product performance and maximize profitability.
Your tasks will include:
- Resolve customer complaints and coordinate product failure analysis, trouble shooting and implementing solutions within target time frame to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Verify the effectiveness of the corrective and/or preventive actions implemented for their effectiveness
- Present & Review Products, Services, Solutions (value creation projects) at Key customers to gain edge over competition
- Create technical offers & proposals
- Provide technical expertise and detailed application knowledge of customer processes and refractory products to support the sales activities.
