Job Description
We're seeking a highly organized and experienced motivated Stock Management Controller to oversee stock management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, controlling stock levels, and dispatching stock to various consignees and internal sales and external sales. Maintaining stock levels at head office and consignees, must be able to handle stress and take full responsibility for the entire stock control function
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and optimize warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of stock and supervise and lead warehouse staff, guidance and support
Conduct regular stock takes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Control and maintain accurate stock levels, identifying discrepancies and damages and implementing corrective actions
Dispatch stock to consignees and clients as needed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
Collaborate with consignees to resolve stock-related issues and improve overall stock management
Analyse stock reports and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency, drive sales of overstock or obsolete stock
Maintain a high level of communication with clients and consignees, reporting any issues or concerns
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and re-establish SOP to improve workflow and be a problem-solver
Company has 3 segments – direct sales to client – direct sales to Manufacturing and direct sales to Repairs department – candidate needs strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements :
10+ years of experience in warehouse management, stock control, or a related field,
Proven experience in stock management, including stock takes and inventory control
We work on Smarterm / BAAN, training will be provided
must be technical minded as we are in the Coach (Bus Industry)
Reliable vehicle for travel to clients and local consignees
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and lead the team of 4 staff
Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software
Ordering plan for stock from overseas suppliers based in Brazil and Spain and local suppliers

DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking the services of a highly capable Finished Goods-Material Handlers to be based in Cape Town.
PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic operational goals, driving productivity, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the warehouse.
The incumbent will take full ownership of operations—managing resources, ensuring consistent product quality, enforcing safety, and housekeeping standards, and leading the team to meet daily targets while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
- Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating and managing technical equipment.
- Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Identifying workplace safety hazards.
- Adhering to safety management standards.
- Adhering to production schedules.
- Loading and unloading materials using a forklift or other machinery
- Sorting, packing, labeling, and weighing materials as per company procedures.
- Transporting and relocating materials within the warehouse or factory
- Following safe driving guidelines and safety protocols
- Monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory records using RF scanning equipment or other tools.
- Must take initiative during downtime to help in warehouse environment.
- Prepare products and materials for shipment using forklift and manual labor.
- Load, unload, and stage products and materials by hand when needed and with Lift.
- Stacking empty pallets
- Control levers and other operating devices, such as forks and hoists, to load, transport and stack materials neatly
- Locating product within the warehouse facility
- Account for and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas
- Performing general warehouse duties as needed
- Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move product through facility ensuring timely and accurate delivery
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12
- Forklift License a must.
- PPT License (Advantage)
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a Warehousing/FMCG environment
- Experience in the use of digital scanners in the picking environment
- Strong computer literacy
- Self-driven with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong adherence to procedures and process control
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Tolerance for repetitive tasks with a focus on consistency and quality
- High work ethic and attention to detail
