Well Known Private Hospital Group - Registered Nurse

Reference: JHB -VM-1

This position is based in Johannesburg South.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse or Equivalent NQF 7 qualification
  2. Have a matric qualification
  3. Relevant experience in Medical Unit
  4. Compulsory BLS
  5. Advanced Computer Literacy
  6. Flexible in working hours/shifts
  7. Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
  8. The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost-effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
  9. Responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
  10. Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
  11. Contribute to the holistic care of patients.
  12. Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
  13. Recognize life-threatening situations.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
  15. Promote the patient’s health and wellbeing.
  16. Give a detailed handover to the ward's sister.
  17. Audit health records to ensure compliance.
  18. Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged, and credited appropriately.
  19. Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives, and visitors.
Package & Remuneration

Monthly plus Basic salary, medical aid, provident fund, meal allowance, bonuses.
