Purpose Statement

The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and executing data-driven SEO strategies to enhance website visibility, organic traffic, and user experience. This role involves optimising on-page, off-page, and technical SEO elements, conducting keyword and competitor analysis, and collaborating with content, development, and marketing teams to implement best practices. The specialist will monitor performance using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, and SEMrush, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve search rankings and drive business growth. With a strong analytical mindset and technical expertise, the SEO Specialist ensures continuous optimisation to align with search engine algorithms and business objectives.

Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in SEO, digital marketing or related field with a proven track record of driving organic growth.
  • Strong experience in on-page, off-page and technical SEO across various industries and business models
  • Experience gained in a banking/financial services environment
  • Experience gained in a large corporate environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • A relevant degree in Information Technology or Marketing
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) Knowledge
  • Familiarity with website CMS platforms e.g. optimisely, wordpress, shopify and basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript

This is a part-time or full-time remote role in our marketing team at diginu. The successful candidates will onboard restaurants, grocery stores, and liquor stores in South Africa, and every order placed on diginu at those stores will result in commission, every single time. As a result, the commission can become significant and is dependent on individual efforts.

This Industry

R50 billion+ will be spent in 2025 on online food ordering in South Africa, with 21.1 million people expected to order online. This industry is HUGE, and as a result, the commission is far above industry standard for marketing opportunities.

They are looking for someone to join our Brand Performance Team (Preferably an Economics, Psychology or Mathematics graduate). You’ll have exposure to a full breadth of our client base, with new challenges every day. With real responsibility – your opinions and decisions will count! Your role will include:

Strategy & Planning

Own the development and execution of end-to-end digital marketing strategies that support revenue and lead-generation goals.

Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving digital channels to continuously enhance performance.

Collaborate on quarterly and annual planning with leadership.

Campaign Management

Launch, monitor, and optimize multi-channel campaigns across email, paid media, SEO, and web.

Manage ad spend and improve conversions across platforms like Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn.

Build email nurturing sequences with automation, segmentation, and A/B testing.

Performance & Reporting

Track and report on KPIs across traffic, lead generation, cost per lead, and conversion.

Present actionable insights and marketing ROI to leadership regularly.

Audit and refine campaign assets and marketing funnels for better efficiency.

Collaboration & Innovation

Work closely with Sales to align strategies and ensure consistent lead quality.

Partner with internal and external creatives to deliver strong content across all touchpoints.

Support adoption and optimization of tools like CRM, landing pages, heatmaps, and analytics platforms.

In this role, you’ll contribute directly to our company’s growth goals by driving qualified traffic, improving conversion rates across campaigns, and optimizing lead generation strategies — all while balancing performance, cost-efficiency, and audience engagement.

WHAT YOU BRING

Experience & Skills

4+ years in digital marketing, ideally within B2B or high-growth environments.

Proven success in executing lead-gen campaigns and improving CPL/CTR/ROI metrics.

Deep understanding of CRM systems (Go High Level, HubSpot, etc.), marketing automation, and paid media strategy.

Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4), SEO/SEM, and A/B testing.

Manage the document library and accurate version control of all documents and policies where relevant.

Events

Events Planning

Compile a list of bespoke “event types” for PCS events. For example, a wine and portfolio pairing event, whiskey tasting events, events that would appeal to a high-net-worth client and would be used to attract other similar people that are not currently clients.

Design appropriate invitations.

Ensure the invitations are delivered to the client concerned using the compamy tools.

Collate RSVP’s.

Where relevant setup and assist with the execution of campaigns via xPlan – with the appropriate post campaign analysis.

Assist with presentation content.

Venues

Source venues according to event type.

Suggest menus for each event, food and drinks.

Arrange menus, AV, décor, and presenters.

Ensure that internal branding is at the venue and can be prominently displayed in collaboration with regional representatives where appropriate (i.e. Operations Manager / Assistant / CRM).

Arrange the registration process at the events and arrange that the registration process is run by our local offices when possible.

Handover of the events

When all planning and arrangements are completed, they will be handed over to the Head of Marketing who will attend the events and make sure they run smoothly.

Post-event

Develop a post-event follow-up with attendees.

Compile an event budget process

Assist in requesting quotes and costing per event where needed.

Maintain and keep the budget updated per event.
