A leading global water technology company dedicated to solving the world's most challenging water issues is looking for a Sourcing Specialist to be established in Kempton Park, South Africa. The purpose of this position is to take responsibility for the full spectrum of procurement processes for Africa and Rep Offices.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and maintain approved suppliers list for each category and ensure dual/multiple supplier sourcing with sourcing rules.
- Develop the mitigation plan for single source spend.
- Identify risk in a supply chain and manage programs to mitigate such risks.
- Identify and onboard suppliers as per Procurement Policy.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to execute Purchase Order to vendors and follow up on delivery schedule, with constructive order management approach.
- Ensure proper maintenance of master data in ERP.
- Analyse inventory reports and be responsible to monitor inventory replenishment process.
- Ensure that all purchasing activities are compliant with the Procurement procedures and policies.
- Analyse spending on suppliers and identify opportunities for productivity savings to maintain ideas funnel on continuous basis.
- Proactively investigate continuous improvement on procurement processes.
- Plan and execute logistics (Road, Ocean and Air).
- Conduct and track key supplier performance, maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing suppliers.
- Execute and drive supplier sustainability projects and reports to support responsible sourcing.
- Define and execute sourcing plans in accordance with strategic sourcing methodology in launching RFQ and RFP process for direct and indirect procurement.
- Negotiate price, quantity, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Work with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
- Assess quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
- Provide solutions to improve and maintain vendor management resulting in the rationalisation and harmonisation of the supply base.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Support XGP requirements and form central point for Africa XGP process.
- Manage GEP projects, contracts, and pricing.
- Develop systems and processes for procurement and associated trade compliance processes.
- Preferably an Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering diploma with Supply Chain / Business or related field.
- CIPS / APICS related qualification.
- Experience working with suppliers and conducting supplier evaluations will be an advantage.
- 5 years proven experience in international sourcing processes.
- 10 years solid experience in procurement and supplier relationship management (SRM).
- Experience in metrology business or instrumentation industry is required.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP including MRP and master data.
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
- Sound time-management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge in iScala will be an advantage.
- Possess continuous improvement mindset.
- A good team player with good analytical thinking, meticulous and follow-up skills.
- Initiative-taking and able to work independently under fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently, must multitask under minimal supervision.

Re-engineer product for lower costs where necessary while still maintaining required standards. Negotiate preferred payment terms with suppliers
- Oversee the critical path management up to handover to forwarder date in order to ensure on time delivery of merchandise and correct product execution. Work closely with the Sourcing Coordinator on finding proactive solutions to mitigate any delivery delay impact on the business. Partner with respective merchants in reacting to the trading environment in order to maximise sales
- Identify new product, technologies and materials in the global market and how they could be adapted for the local market in order to remain relevant and to maximise additional profitability opportunities
Qualifications
- A completed degree or diploma preferably in Procurement, Sourcing or Clothing Management
- 2-3 years sourcing or buying experience, preferably in Footwear, Accessories or Intimate wear
- MS office (Excel)
- Negotiation Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of: Corporate Social Responsibility; Sustainable practices; fabric technology; raw materials and manufacturing

The talent sourcer focused on identifying, engaging, and attracting top talent across a wide spectrum of roles from skilled trades . The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing blue-collar in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs across skill trade workers in the aerospace field.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates using a variety of methods (e.g., ATS, Boolean searches, social media, resume databases, networking, military pipelines).

Transition suppliers seamlessly through effective project and critical path management, change management and business education.
Ensure purchase facilitation and ERP control mechanisms are optimized and activated timeously, including supplier accounts, blanket agreements, catalogues, inventory codes and contract purchase orders.
Strengthen supplier relationships through supplier consolidation, with due regard for Enterprise and Supplier Development priorities.
Support ongoing contract management, ensuring timely execution of contract renewals and renegotiations to deliver budget guidance on schedule.
Support strategic Source to Pay (S2P) initiatives, supplier analysis and market intelligence activities.
Support the evolution of the S2P framework and vision for change in business processes, technology and strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to explore ways to improve and innovate.
Maintain appropriate and effective communication with consistent messaging regarding the NTP transformation efforts.

IntroductionContribute towards the development of Sourcing and Supplier Strategy. Identify appropriate factories/suppliers/regions and manage the sourcing of product options aligned to the sourcing and product strategies.
Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of the Sourcing and Supplier Strategy
- Analyse and review Supplier performance scorecards (quality, OTIF, innovation and sustainability)
- Review trends on Supplier delivery to financial KPI’s
- Identify opportunities for new Suppliers to close Supplier gaps / risks
- Consolidate inputs from Heads of Planning, Buying and Design on Product Category Strategy
- Identify Suppliers that meet the Business Innovation and Sustainability targets
Conduct Supplier Engagement, Communication and Performance Management
- Lead end-to-end Supplier onboarding, engagement, and communication processes
- Create and issue requests for samples (only for Concept and Development Samples before costs are confirmed, and for In-Season Trade / Trend Updates)
- Mitigate any issues that may arise on the request and receipt of physical samples
- Conduct Supplier Performance conversations, identify performance issues and implement corrective actions
- Evaluate Supplier compliance with sustainability and ethics standards
Conduct Costing and Supplier Negotiation
- Conduct product costings based on Tech Pack inputs from Technical Product Development
- Ensure an in-depth understanding of the Product aesthetic and technical requirements
- Manage Requests for Quote
- Conduct Supplier negotiations to ensure the achievement of required financial KPIs – partner up with Buying on new Product Concepts / Volume Inputs
- Finalise cost, obtain approval on quotes and handover Formula / Development Style with Preferred Quote to Buying
Perform Capacity Planning and Management throughout the Season
- Consolidate the required inputs from Planning
- Perform Capacity Planning and ensure that volume flows and drops are successfully communicated with Suppliers
- Continuously engage with Suppliers, track shipment and ensure that adjustments and updates are executed during trade
Manage Strategy Execution and Issue Resolution
- Implement and manage Seasonal Trading Plans in conjunction with Planning and Buying, and work with Suppliers to revise and update production plans
- Monitor Supplier Strategy Execution, identify deviations from strategy, address issues with Supplier, Planning and Buying Teams
- Oversee order management and product tracking, promptly communicating changes or delays to Group Planning and Buying Teams to achieve On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) targets
- Participate in relevant Trade Meetings to gain insights into trading actions that need to be executed
- 8 years or more Buying/Sourcing/Technical retail experience in a Clothing environment and/or
- Relevant business degree / diploma in Textiles, Fashion, Clothing product management
- Understanding of the International and South African clothing industry
- Proven experience in Supplier negotiations
- Ability to travel both locally and internationally
- Supplier Management & Understanding of Imports and Supply Chain Logistics

Plan and execute assigned sourcing projects timeously in accordance with approved Sourcing Strategies, required quality, established processes and methodologies, ensuring delivery, endorsement and reporting of project benefit targets.
Provide support to the Non Trade Procurement Business Partners in the preparation, communication and execution of Category Strategies.
Provide support to the Non Trade Procurement Business Partners in the preparation and execution of strategic Sourcing Strategies.
Facilitate the capture of specifications for procurement of goods/services.
Develop robust data gathering and data quality maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and support development of baseline for sourcing efforts.
Collect and utilise stakeholder feedback to understand critical business priorities, sharing feedback with appropriate Non Trade Procurement Business Partners to ensure group priorities as well as regional requirements are met in a collaborative manner and strategies account for short and long term business needs.
Identify sourcing project and supply risks, establishing mitigation plans.
Lead cross-organizational project teams to work collaboratively and accomplish a common goal in delivering assigned tactical and operational sourcing projects.
Maintain considered, effective communication with all stakeholders before, during and after projects, ensuring responsible Non Trade Procurement Business Partners remain up to date at all times.
Ensure project compliance with all relevant sourcing policies and procedures as a NTP Process and Systems expert.
Ensure good governance is consistently applied, evaluating potential vendors in an equitable manner with due consideration for preferential procurement imperatives and maintaining thorough records pertaining to vendor appointment and terms of engagement.
Design and execute negotiation strategy to minimise life-cycle expenses.
Engage and influence across the lines of business to ensure successful project implementation, support change management and ensure adoption.
Conclude contracts with appointed suppliers in partnership with the Legal department ahead of implementation.
Optimise contractual agreements to minimize risk and cost.
Calculate, track and document direct and indirect savings achieved, as well as process value add.
Ensure delivery, validation and endorsement of, at minimum, targeted assigned sourcing project benefits.
Transition suppliers seamlessly through effective project and critical path management, change management and business education.
Ensure purchase facilitation and ERP control mechanisms are optimized and activated timeously, including supplier accounts, blanket agreements, catalogues, inventory codes and contract purchase orders.
Strengthen supplier relationships through supplier consolidation, with due regard for Enterprise and Supplier Development priorities.
Support ongoing contract management, ensuring timely execution of contract renewals and renegotiations to deliver budget guidance on schedule.
Support strategic Source to Pay (S2P) initiatives, supplier analysis and market intelligence activities.
Support the evolution of the S2P framework and vision for change in business processes, technology and strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to explore ways to improve and innovate.
Maintain appropriate and effective communication with consistent messaging regarding the NTP transformation efforts.
Conduct Supply Chain mapping activities to identify opportunities to reduce total landed costs with due consideration to lead time – regionalising supply, together with the Non Trade Procurement Business Partners, wherever appropriate.
Execute assigned Tail-Spend Management (TSM) activities, including spend and contract analysis, identifying and extracting incremental cost saving, operational efficiency, supplier consolidation and catalogue improvement opportunities, as well as synergies with preferred suppliers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, Commerce, Economics or related, relevant professional qualification such as MCIPs.
Project Management certificate or diploma.
Minimum of 4 years procurement experience, at least 2 of which in a corporate multinational and 2 of which in strategic sourcing.
Experience with any major ERP system.
Experience with any sourcing and contracting platforms will provide an advantage.
