ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As a Solution Engineer Associate, you will collaborate on the technology planning, strategy, direction and design choices within solutions used to meet the business requirements of SITA customers.
In this role, you will need to have the opportunity to work on a wide range of solutions for a big number of different customers and explore working with 3rd party partners to complement SITA offering in a highly competitive yet very rewarding environment.
Reporting to the Head of Solution Engineering (Airports-MEA), you will be part of a dynamic and diverse group responsible for the pre-sales aspects of our business in MEA.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provides the technical qualification and owns the technical parts of proposals submitted to customers through knowledge of current new or evolving technologies and SITA solution portfolios.
- Designs/coordinates development of standard and complex solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally including the selection of 3rd party vendor to meet customer requirements.
- Promotes SITA by furnishing customers with comprehensive up-to-date information on current products product enhancements and new solutions through customer meetings and workshops. Facilitate designs to be efficiently implemented Right the First Time (RFT) and supported operationally.
- Collaborates with colleagues to gain and share ideas and opportunities.
- Lead mentor and coach staff and organize technical training and certification on the products and technologies supporting the ATI.
- Supports account team or competency centers during the pre-contract phases (qualification proposal and contract) with technical designs and advice.
- Participates in the development of technical account strategies with the sales team to ensure maximum account penetration and commercial benefits for SITA in the long term.
Qualifications:
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Technologies
- 5 years of experience in Information Technology, Telecom Industry or Air Transport Industry technology in a technical pre-sales role.
- Proven track record in producing communicating and documenting successful technical customer solutions.
- Commercially minded and technology savvy with excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate and convince customers at various levels with excellent communication skills.
- Familiar with Airport IT solution infrastructure is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of productivity tools like, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI , Word, Visio etc.
- At least 1 technical certification is required (e.g. CCIE/CCNP/CCDP/MCSE.)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Be the prime interface to customers on technical & commercial matters and lead customer engagements, from initial contact to solution deployment.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with customers, work with customers to better understand their business and develop sound solutions to meet the customer's business requirements.
- Work closely with Account Managers/Directors to develop sales and accounts development strategies.
- Promote SITA by furnishing customers with comprehensive, up-to-date information on current products, product enhancements, and new solutions, through customer meetings and workshops.
