A fast growing engineering firm specializing in renewable energy, construction, and Independent Power Producer (IPP) services seeks a dynamic Renewable Project Manager to drive solar and power infrastructure projects across South Africa and international markets. The company is committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in delivering cutting-edge energy solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree/National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8+ years’ experience in project management within the power/energy sector (solar, substations, transmission/distribution)
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and professional registration (ECSA, SAIEE, SACPCMP) advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Project, CAD software, and financial acumen (budget forecasting, P&L)
- Fluent English (French highly advantageous for African projects)
Key focus areas include:
- Managing a 1MW PV Solar Farm project (from conception to commissioning)
- Leading multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, stakeholders) and mentoring junior engineers

They are looking for someone who has experience and is not completely new to finance as they will be involved in the day-to-day finance tasks and will be there to support the duties of the finance department. The candidate should be reliable and accurate in their tasks and duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process invoices and accounts payable
- Generate financial reports including balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, and other management reports
- Record-keeping of expenses, transactions, and financial data
- Prepare and process payroll
- Collaborate with the sales department to effectively manage accounts receivable
- Maintaining financial controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Effectively communicate financial data to management and other departments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
