A Software Developer Engineer (SDE) at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions customers around the world. At Amazon an SDE can expect to lead team(s) of highly performing individuals in the design of flexible and scalable solutions, and day-to-day operations. They will work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. We will be working on building and operating new services that will help improve the experience of our customers when doing over-the-air updates, telemetry, and troubleshooting their devices.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The Technical Services Engineer role is critical to ensure high levels of investigative and analytical support to clients. You will be responsible for resolving technically challenging cases, investigating problems escalated from the Service Desk, within agreed KPIs and SLAs. You will provide coaching and mentoring of Service Desk Engineers and deputise for the Service Desk Manager, as required. You will also be involved in project delivery, including but not limited to infrastructure projects, deployments, cloud migrations, as well supporting the Field Services team with onsite deployments if required. You will communicate with customers, using appropriate channels, whilst ensuring all communications, ticket notes and time entries, meet our quality standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on service tickets assigned to you. These may have been logged via telephone, portal, booking systems, email, or a chat.
- Work on project tickets assigned to you. These will come from the PMO team and require focus, planning and research.
- Record your work and time accurately, reflecting the effort expended. Making use of tooling to increase accuracy and timeliness of time entries.
- Communicating with customers, via the appropriate channels, always ensuring that written and verbal communication is professional and meets our standards.
- Ensure appropriate adherence to performance targets including KPIs and SLAs.
- Build excellent working relationships within the Service Desk team(s), with other teams within the Managed Services Department, as well as within the wider organisation.
- Work with Team Managers, Team Leaders and Account Managers to ensure positive outcomes for our customers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP, or MSSP), or an in-house IT support team.
- Knowledge and technical understanding of Microsoft 365 and general business IT systems.
- Specialised knowledge/certification in a certain field of IT systems e.g. networking, server infrastructure, Azure, web services.
- Experience using ConnectWise, or another ITSM tool, e.g. ServiceNow, Remedy, or Autotask.
- Operational understanding and experience working in ITIL aligned environment(s), including understanding of SLA’s incident Management, Service Request Fulfilment and Change Management.

Requirements :

Duties :
- Manage the preparation of the annual operation plan. Manage the preparation of the annual procurement plan. Manage updating of the maintenance management systems in terms of approved plans. Manage the customizations of specifications. Manage the procurement processes of all goods and services, technical spares and supplies, including specification and participation in evaluation and bid adjudication. Control and monitor funds for the maintenance in compliance with PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Manage procurement through the prescribed system. Manage maintenance schedules (corrective and preventative) and maintenance plans. Conduct condition assessments related to all disciplines. Perform inspections, verify lifespan of electro-mechanical equipment and maintenance records. Manage implementation of day-to-day maintenance services. Manage implementation of routine and preventative maintenance services. Meet with Heads of health facilities and suppliers. Agree on service delivery standards and turnaround times.Follow up if clients are satisfied with services and timeframes. Address complaints of clients and manage feedback to clients. Sign performance agreements for the unit based on approved job descriptions, strategic and annual performance plans of the department. Manage training and development of personnel according to agreed training interventions. Manage the provision of equipment required by personnel for achievement of outputs. Provide regular verbal and written feedback to personnel on performance. Mentor and coach personnel. Develop a succession plan for the unit. Develop and update the service delivery and work plan for the unit. Provide sufficient guidance to personnel in terms of the service delivery plan, work plans, core business roles and priorities of the Department through quarterly personnel meetings. Manage skills transfer between personnel in the Maintenance Hub and outside technical assistants and/or consultants. Plan & allocate work responsibilities and processes to control work performance including quality assurance.
