The Level II Software Engineer is a key contributor within a cross-functional team, actively involved throughout the full software development lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement. • Seasoned experience with tools across full software delivery lifecycle, for example, IDE, source control, CI, test, mocking, work tracking, defect management.
• Seasoned experience in Agile and Lean methodologies, Continuous Delivery / DevOps, Analytics / data-driven processes.

Job Description

Our team owns EC2 instance launch times end to end. We use rich data drawn from services across EC2 to monitor and understand our customer’s launch experience. As an engineer on our team, you’ll help us to understand our customers launch experience by benchmarking performance, running experiments, detecting anomalies and discovering patterns in how customers interact with us. You will also make improvements in collaboration with teams across EC2. You’ll get to use data science tools and techniques, and program in various languages that primarily include Java and Python.

Utility Computing (UC)

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
