• Education: Trade Test (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical) or relevant N6/Diploma.
• Experience:
• 24 years experience as a technician in batteries, forklifts, automotive electrical, or renewable energy equipment.
• Exposure to lithium battery systems and industrial chargers will be an advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication and customer service orientation.
• Basic IT skills (for diagnostic tools and reporting).

We are seeking a candidate with experience in precision farming or related agricultural fields. The ideal candidate will have:

1. Strong understanding of agronomic principles, soil science, crop physiology, and agricultural production systems.
2. Proficiency in utilizing precision agriculture tools and technologies, such as GIS, remote sensing, GPS guidance systems, and farm management software.
3. Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex agronomic data and provide actionable recommendations.
4. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Conducting comprehensive field assessments to analyze soil properties, crop health, and environmental factors using precision farming technologies.
2. Utilizing data collected from remote sensing, GIS, and other tools to generate field-specific recommendations for crop inputs, irrigation management, and pest control.
3. Collaborating with farmers and agricultural professionals to implement recommended practices.

Keeping CRM tickets up to date – from initial assignment to completion of support request.

Working closely with the service/support desk to make sure appointments are managed and client expectations are met.

Ensure technical best practice is used for all products and services installations.

Ensure all installation deadlines are met.

Ensure adequate communication of risks, issues and progress to Projects and Operations.

Full documentation and handover to maintenance/call centre and accepting handover from presales for new clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12.
2. Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license.
3. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a field technician role.
4. PABX certifications.
5. Solid networking knowledge – installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices (layer 2 and 3), which include switches, wireless access points and network access control applications.
6. Network configuration knowledge must include creation of VLANs, packet tagging, configuration and testing of STP and QoS and troubleshooting ability.
7. Solid VoIP knowledge – installation, configuration and maintenance of VoIP based PABX systems and call centres.
8. Working knowledge of different provider links and last mile connectivity.
9. Good communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with all levels of staff and clients.
10. Good planning and organisation skills.
11. Sense of urgency and desire to get the job done on time and according to the highest standard.

SALARY:
